I was sent to Blakslee for a simple procedure by my own GP. Blakslee did nothing for me but make recommendations. I needed him to relieve a painful infection. He did nothing for me. Four days later the infection caused a fever and antibiotics could not be obtained as it was a long weekend.

Blakslee was fantastic, great surgery, pleasant, great bed side manner, definitely the complete package, and his ratings are accurate. Now if WDMH could get rid of the older women who work in the emergency room who are rude, condescending, and outright disrespectful then I would have more respect for the hospital as a whole. They have quite the reputation going in this area and nothing seems to ever change. I would rather they switched jobs with a Subway employee from down the street in the Emergency room, even if they didn't know anything they would take down the basics and refer to a doctor. And I wouldn't mind being treated like crap over a $5 sandwich because it's a sandwich. Great upper management, great doctors and surgeons at this hospital though.

He is just great. What can I say about this guy other then his bed side manor is fantastic, he is nice and very thorough. I would recommend him in a heart beat. The Winchester memorial hospital is equally fantastic.

Wonderful surgeon. Terrific bedside manner. In tune with his patients. Very caring. Would recommend this doctor to anyone requiring surgery.

This past week was the first time i ever met the doc. He removed my gallbladder and was the most pleasent man i had ever met. I get to meet him as a follow up in a few weeks so i will keep you up to date what i think. For the record i have never heard anything negitive about his bedside manner or perfessional manner. Bobbi

I've had to wait almost every time to see Dr. Blakslee but I would rather he take the time necessary with each patient - as long as that includes me. I find Dr. Blakslee professional, knowledgeable and matter-of-fact. He has been kind and gentle, especially when delivering bad news, without being condescending or patronizing. I will hate to leave Dr. Blakslee for a team of specialists but it will be necessary as Dr. Blakslee is a general surgeon only.

I went to Dr Blakslee for several years for an ongoing condition that ultimately he sent me on to someone more specialized for, but during that time he was very professional and friendly. Listened well and generally on time. He was only ever really late when emergencies came into the hospital that he'd be forced to deal with as the OR Surgeon which is understandable. The receptionist at his office was a bit frosty but I normally saw him at the hospital so that didn't matter much.
