I broke out with Hives at 1:00 p.m. New Year's Eve. He kept his office open later to see me - and I've never seen him in the past. He's a partner of my regular internist, who had already left for the afternoon and Dr. Fike saw me within 40 minutes. He immediately diagnosed the condition and the cause. I was sent to the pharmacy with an RX that immediately eliminated the hives and he spoke with my Psychiatrist re: my dx of PTSD and why this was flaring up at this time (I was in a head-on car collision and about 2 hours before calling Dr. Fike, I heard from my attorney to set up our first appt. to discuss the accident and begin evaluating the severe damages I've suffered. I guess I couldn't handle the situation well and hives broke out). He was the kindest man. When I thanked him for staying late to see me on a holiday eve he said: That's exactly what I'm here for. You NEVER owe a doctor anything more than honesty. It has been my pleasure to see you and get rid of this terrible condition
