Dr featherstone is one of the best surgeons ever! I have a very complicated problem and he stood by me every step of the way! He also performed surgeries on my mother and son and was exceptional! You don't find many as rare as him in our health care industry! Very informative and caring! He makes you feel like a person not just a number.Exceptional!!!

Unbelieveable poor staff and unproffesional....The billing lady leaves a message as march 23, 12 that she will be out of the office until April 2nd 2012, please dont leave a message call back after april 2nd....are you kidding me? plz. Then the front desk people neither answer the phone nor retur phone calls....I didnt use this doctor because of his lame office staff summer of 2011. I get a bill today March 23rd 2012 and his office is billing me for an orientation a total of $311. was charged to my insurance for absolutely nothing and I mean nothing. This guy ego is over riding everything including his judgement and his responibility to patients in my opinion. I remember in his orientatin tell about six of us "I have the best gastric bypass surgery in the state of Michigan", oh really? After hearing say that, he lsot all credibility with me, that surgery is not the best by far....Flint and Grand Rapids have the best going by far. I wouldnt trust of use that doctor or his staff at all.

Dr. Featherstone was the surgeon on duty when our college age son went to the emergency room with stomach pain. He ended up having emergency surgery for a punctured colon. Dr. Featherstone was extraordinary in every way. He is technically highly proficient. He is a clear communicator and easily connected with my son and with my wife and me. Other Munson doctors we know told us that we were blessed that he was the surgeon on duty the day our son went to the emergency room.

Dr. Featherstone was wonderful. He understood my weight issues. He showed real compassion. You can just feel that he is in the health care profession because he cares about people and making their lives better. He wants you to be able to live a healthy and active life. I would do the surgery all over again. It changed my life and my family's.

He is very rude, does not communicate well. He rushes through appointments. If you are going to GTS for bariatric surgery, I suggest you choose Dr. Nizzi.

This is a wonderful doctor with a wonderful staff. Grand Traverse Surgery is the best. I had RNY Gastric bypass with them last year and they are the best...
