Never Called me back after giving me surgery/biopsy. Blamed it on new phone system. This place is a joke.

Dr. Desta is nice (if you can get in to see her. The pa or nurse practitioner or whatever she is is rude) however her office staff is absolutely useless. They do not call you back and also will not call the pharmacy back or fax prescriptions like they say they will. I tried for 2 MONTHS to get a prescription refilled and NEVER GOT it. Whenever I called the office it was either 'we'll take a message' or 'leave a message in the nurses voice mail'. Neither results in a call back or medication. They gave the same run around to the pharmacy. I eventually gave up and just suffered with the pain. There is absolutely no professionalism or patient care. I have found talking to my coworkers they are having the same issues. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE if you actually want to be treated like a person or actually be healed.

Dr. Desta has performed three colonoscopies on me and I have been very satisfied with her. She is very nice, listens to what I have to say, and asks good questions to ensure that she understands the situation. She will be performing another colonoscopy on me soon. The first three times I saw her for my pre-procedure visit. This time I saw a nurse-practioner instead. I missed being able to talk directly to her, but the nurse-practioner was quite good, thorough and helpful. He answered all my questions, explained the process well, and seemed interested and caring. I have recommended Dr. Desta to several of my friends.

Dr. Hiwot Desta performed a colonoscopy on me. She has a terrible bedside manner. She is very cold and not sympathetic at all to someone who has been through a lot with their health in the past. She gives a cold clinical explanation - no human touch at all. I would NOT recommend her to anyone. When I told her that something she said hurt my feelings, she said, "Well it's true". She is a narcissistic doctor

Have had over 5 procedures with her over the last 8-10 years. She is very caring, through, and follows up with both my primary care doctor and me.

Have seen her 4 times, and each time I like her more and more. She is very knowledgable, remembers everything that we have done in past, answers all questions. Great doc!
