Dr. W. is very personable, and efficient. He listens patiently, is an expert diagnostician and doesn't hesitate to issue referrals. He has a reputation for excellence in the Parksville/Qualicum Beach community. The same can be said of his MOAs (Rusty & Melissa) who are always patient, kind and helpful. That said, “since like attracts like”, dissatisfied miscreants should sign on with Parksville WELD St. Clinic whose surly staff and incompetent doctors (C. Duncan = ADHD psychopath) might have them change their tune and be more respectful.

What sound does a duck make? It would be nice if he could make a diagnosis from the tests he orders (we had another doctor confirm the condition). It would also be nice if he read patient files before he has his receptionist call someone confined to a bed to "come in" for a visit. What part of bedridden do you not understand? Speaking of his receptionist Rusty - I think that is more a description of her personality than it is her name. She is rude, impatient, and condescending. All the qualities you look for in someone who acts as the face for your practice. She is just a horrible person and should be in a job where public interaction is not required. It's too bad there is a doctor shortage in BC. If there weren't, I suspect Dr. Wagenaar and Rusty would be looking for employment elsewhere.

We're so grateful that Dr. Wagenaar accepted us as patients when Dr. Simenhoff left QB. He is very personable, and efficient. He listens patiently, is an expert diagnostician and doesn't hesitate to issue referrals. He has a reputation for excellence in the Parksville/Qualicum Beach community. The same can be said of his MOAs (Rusty & Melissa) who are always very kind and helpful. Hubby and I are well cared-for, confident we will age gracefully while in Dr. Wagenaar's care. That said, BC Family Doctors deserve better pay, more financial incentives, and certainly more Health Ministry support from this NDP government.

He has been our doctor for 15 years. He is a understanding and compassionate human being. Always on time, thorough and open to discussion regarding problems and treatments.

Worst doctors office around. They cancel
Your appointments without informing you. They tell you it’s an in person appointment when it’s actually a telephone appointment the staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing. My entire family have dr w as a doctor and he has been absolutely no help what so ever. When you say your in pain he gives you a prescription einstead of figuring out what the issue actually is. I highly suggest not seeing this doctor. Walk in clinic has better doctors and faster service. Worst doctor award goes to dr Wagenaar

Unless your in a wheelchair and crying in pain this guy doesn’t give a flying f*** about you. I blew my back in construction two years ago and had to go ask dr w for a mri and he refused me like five times. This doctor needs to retire he has been absolutely no help to me during my injury in almost two years. I’ve found a new doctor who actually cares. My sister and mom have had similar issues with him in the past.

Dr. Wagenaar is punctual and polite. He is thorough with his questioning and suggestions. I have been seeing him for 9 years and has been consistent the entire time. I strongly recommend his services and hope he does not retire too soon.
