Our family saw doctor Furuta for 10 yrs... Myself and four of our kids for ADD/ADHD. He was amazing we all loved him and miss him terribly. (He passed away March 30, 2011) He is irreplaceable. Very insightful, the kids said he was scary that way. LOL never rushed, always caring and patient. Loved him! Haven't been back to a shrink since.

Dr. Furuta really helped me get through tough times, and I have seen him for 10 years. He is practical, and kind. I'm not posting this review to recommend him unfortunately because he is no longer working and is actually in hospice for stomach cancer at this time. If you are a past patient, now might be a good time to write a kind letter or note. The office staff can give you the address, etc.

Dr Furuta is a good doc. He's always on time, but never makes you feel rushed. He's always busy though - so you have to schedule ahead. He does med management only which is a shame because he's very insightful - more so than any of the counselors. His staff can be somewhat unprofessional and tends to get away with stuff they probably shouldn't, but he can't police them. Office manager is unresponsive when there are problems, but better than the old lady they used to have there. Over all dr furuta is a good doc wd recommend him for med mgmt.

Have been a patient of his for 15 years and he saved my life. Excellent doctor. He makes sure you get the right dosage of the right medication. He has a genuine interest in the well being of his patients.

The doctor is in his 60's. A very nice person & doctor. Aways on time, tho he's always busy and the waiting rm is pretty full. He's mainly only to do your medicine, he's not a counselor, but they do have counselors you can talk to, so time with your doctor is spent on how the medicine is working and how you feel. But he is very helpful if you need or ask for his help. Real good at prescribing medicine, and works to get you feeling really good. No dr could find the right medicines to help me but he has found ones that work. Waiting for a 1st appt was over 6 months, but if you need sooner there's Dr Martin who's new and real nice and so far theres more appt times. Office politics you hear sometimes, & a few women are grumpy - esp a older woman who said she's the manager, and a older woman who walks the dog. They take private insurance or money, no welfare, and the cost for the doctors is $250 I think.
