i like her manners and bedside manner, a dr. visit is not meant to be fun or a whine session, it is to solve a problem and this she does well.

The nurses and receptionist are excellent. The facility is overall in good condition. The Doctor, Sheila Schmidt however is extremely rude and unprofessional. Her bedside manner is one of the worst I have ever encountered. I believe the sign hanging above her door stating that "The Queen is not seeing anyone at this Time" is a great example of her entire personality and work ethic. She has seriously the worst comprehension skills in the medical field I have seen to date. My mother is her patient, my mother has suffered 8 strokes and 6 TIAs in the last two year due to an unfortunate combination of rare, serious, and incurable cardiovascular diseases which have caused the following: Livedo reticularis, Sneddon syndrome, subclavian steal syndrome, coronary artery disease, Ventricular Septal Defect. (hole in the heart) It has many complications. Along with Atherosclerosis, which is pretty serious. Stenosis in the left vertebral artery leading to the brain, Intracranial hemorrhage. chronic encephalomalacia with petechial hemorrhage. Her cardiovascular physician has her visit Dr. Sheila's office once a month to have her blood drawn to make sure her blood thinners are working, and to provide as much preventive care as possible. During almost every visit Dr. Sheila Schmidt has told obviously not read her file, or the faxes repeatedly sent by her Cardiovascular physician, she keeps telling my mother that she shouldn't have to take her blood as she doesn't see anything serious. And surely the Cardiovascular physician would see her more often than 5 months, and would have "FIXED" her if it was anything serious. I can not believe someone in her field would ever look at the critical health condition my mother is in and not just see a walking medical miracle. She will never not have strokes due to the Sneddons. My mother used to be a very healthy, happy, active person until she was diagnosed and the symptoms of her diseases began preventing her from enjoying many things people take for granted, The 8 strokes have made her blind in one eye, she has lost full control of the movement in her left side of her body, and can no longer understand directions and therefore can not even navigate her own home well. This doctor told my mother she didn't "see" any residual effects, and serious things are "fixed", and her condition is not that serious. I was disgusted and felt awful for my poor mother who is fighting with everything she has to be around for her new grandchild. This doctor is depolarable.

She has the worst bedside manner ever! She is very short with you and will walk out of the door when you are talking. Her staff definitely doesn't look too professional either. I will say she did help me but completely did nothing for my brother. Also, she smells like cigarettes. I won't use her again.

I had nothing but bad experiences while going to this Clinic. Her staff was extremely unprofessional. Dr. Schmidt always seemed like she was rushed so did not feel like she cared about her patients but more concerned how many patients she could see in a day. Each visit I had to wait anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half to be seen. When I complained about it Dr. Schmidt became defensive and rude. There were also several mistakes made by her very unprofessional staff. I without a doubt do not recommend this Dr. I have since switched doctors.

Dr. Schmidt is my doctor and Thank God for her. I'm almost never sick. I did, though, get the flu at the turn of the century (missed all the celebrations and Y2K). NO DOCTOR would see me, except Dr. Schmidt. Since then, I go at least once a year to be sure she still remembers me (which she does), and knows that I don't like to take medicines. She is exactly the right doctor for me. I'd recommend her to everyone.

I love her. She is very caring, but she will tell you everything straight forward, which is something I love the most about her. I have been going to her for over 20 years. The staff is sweet, too.

I believe she is a good and knowledgable doctor but her young and unprofessional staff keep the patients away.

Dr. Sheila Schmidt is an exellent Doctor and caring individual. Her staff does not measure up to her high standard and each one of them should (needs) to be evaluated as to their willingness to greatly improve or be shown the door. This is the first Doctors office that I have been to where an appointment time means absolutely nothing.
