Makes you go thru ER with no appointment so you can sit and wait while being exposed to ER and questioned by staff like what are you doing here. Told to be here at 7am… over two hours and still no process to start minor procedure. This is a joke and unprofessional

Not only terrible surgeon but a TERRIBLE example of a human being! Didn’t perform my hernia surgery as explained and when I began having serious pain he treated me horribly. I have never been harmed so much in my life. I will never forgive him for the way he treated me. PLEASE stay away from this man!

Dr. Edwin Teehan is an excellent surgeon, soft spoken with great bedside manners. You feel comfortable talking to him and takes his time to listen to your needs and concerns.

Dr. Tehran is a horrible doctor. He doesn't follow through on procedures he performs and takes no responsibility for his mistakes. He has no bedside manner and is rough with his patients. He has no regard for the patient whatsoever. He performed a bedside procedure where my mom felt all the cuts and pressure

Dr. Teehan's office staff is the worst . . . . suspected somebody was a family member. Luckily, I see him in Hewitt at Highlander Family Medicine. My experience with Dr. Teehan has been very positive. He lacks the arrogance and patronizing attitude of many surgeons but, more importantly, he is willing to think outside the box when he encounters a situation in which he has little experience. I have a condition that although not that rare, is a mystery to most doctors I have seen. Before I was referred to Dr. Teehan by another medical professional, I had been to several doctors, some of whom couldn't identify the condition and didn't even care to try. Others treated it incorrectly and made it worse. Dr. Teehan identified it but admitted he had only seen it once before. Nevertheless, he cared enough to do some research, call on his experience and common sense, and recommend a procedure that might possibly help but certainly wouldn't hurt. Long story short, the condition persists, but has improved. I continue to see him when there is a set back and he continues to be patient and friendly even though I'm sure he's bored with it all by now.

Dr. Teehan is a horrible doctor. He did surgery on my mom. She had a mass in her abdomen. Pathology revealed Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Dr. Teehan placed a port in moms shoulder area. When time to be released from St, Marys Hospital Dr. Teehan removed the staples as I watched. Her incision spread wide open. As mom bled he placed steri strips to hold the incision together in several places. While in 7 day rehab MRSA was found in this wound. She was released and admitted to Hackensak Hospital and treated for the MRSA. Also discovered the port Dr. Teehan placed was actually backwards. Because of the MRSA she was too compromised for surgery to replace the port. Ultimately mom lost her life to a staph infection. With all my heart I believe Dr. Teehan contributed greatly to moms lost battle. I would not in any way recommend Dr. Teehan.

Colonoscopy revealed rectal cancer.Referred to Dr. Teehan. He agreed. Procedure was to simply remove my rectum and have a permanent colostomy at age 47.I asked if there was some new technology that would same my rectum. He flat at said no. I did my own research. Sloan Kettering gave me chemo and radiation, Yes,they removed my rectum, then pulled my colon down and sewed it where the rectum was. More chemo. After 10 tough months I was fine. Now 5 years later I do not have a permanent colostomy, and cancer free!

This man is supposed to be a great surgeon. Don't believe the hype. He has horrible communication skills. He told me one thing. Then he told me something totally opposite the next time I saw him. His office staff is the worst. His mother-in-law attempts to run his office and is totally incompetent. I lost a surgery date because of her gross incompetence. The rest of his staff are high school drop outs with surly attitudes. It is difficult for me to respect a doctor who allows a family member to ruin his practice. Hiring quality staff is expensive. But not hiring quality staff is more expensive. I would not recommend Dr. Teehan to anyone.

A great doctor, but not worth the 2 hour wait especially when he is clearly sitting behind the front desk learning a computer application.

I had a great experience with this Doctor and staff. In my opinion, Dr. Teehan is a great Doctor and his staff was very professional. I recently was referred to him by my primary Doctor, had surgery and everything went as planned. Great Doctor, great staff.
