I switched doctors, due to the clinic receptionist. It was impossible to get an appointment yet others could get one the same day. Her response is always go to emerg. Dr Ray is professional, curtious, and always listened.

My husband and I switched Doctors, simply for the fact that we felt Dr. Ray was not taking our health concerns seriously. My husband when to see Dr. Khan and I went to see Dr. Ramlall in Okotoks. I was diagnosed and treated for Grave's Disease within 5 weeks of first seeing Dr. Ramlall. Basically Dr. Ramlall and the Specialist Dr. Hanley in Calgary saved my life. I am so thankful for their helpfulness and concern. My husband was diagnosed and treated for Ankylosis Spondilitis soon after first seeing Dr. Khan. We should have switched Doctors, years sooner.

We finally switched doctors. Dr. Ray was never able to put the symptoms together to figure out what it was I had- shingles. Instead he refered me to a pain management group and said I would have to live with it. Acouple years later, I walked into a clinic in Maui and the doctor knew immediately what it was- got me on anti-viral medication and it controlled the symptoms. The crazy part was that when I got home and told Dr. Ray about the effectiveness of this medication- he would not even entertain the idea at all- despite thier being no serious side effects. Desperate, I went to a walk in clinic and they immediately perscribed the same medication that the Maui doctor had perscribed (without me having to even ask for it). I switched doctors- and now, my doctor has me taking the medication daily to control the symptoms. I live without constant pain and am so thankful that I had another opinion!

I think the poor rating based on the categories provided, can be linked back to the clinic administration and management.

He is always able to fit us in to his busy schedule and doesn't make us feel like he in a rush. His staff is great and my daughter loves him. We are very lucky to have a family doctor let alone such a great one!

Frankly, the man is an absolute idiot. I went into the emergency room while he was on after essentially destroying my ankle. I was the only person in the ER, but I watched him read a book for almost 2 hours while my ankle continued to swell and send me into shock from the pain. When he deigned to take a look, he poked and grabbed at my ankle so roughly my husband just about decked him (note, my ankle was easily 4x its normal size, and black with bruising from toe to calf - no need to wrench it around), and seemed really annoyed that he supposed I should have x-rays. When I came back, he told me it was a sprain and to stay off it, no painkillers or medications prescribed. After spending the night in hell, shaking and throwing up from the pain, I went to MY doctor who told me the ankle was fractured and that I should be in a cast. Dr. Ray didn't even LOOK at the x-rays. Due to Dr. Rays screw up though, it was too late, and my ankle is permanently damaged. I'd sue the **** if I could.

I really liked Dr. Ray. He was always very pleasant and willing to talk to me about my concerns. On the other hand, I decided to find a new doctor solely based on the fact that his receptionist is the rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever talked to. She yells at patients on the phone and is rude in the waiting room. If you are worried about your health, the absolute last thing you need is to experience this woman.

Dr. Rae has been my mother's Dr. since 2002. He is very attentive, caring, knowledgeable funny man. He has a wonderful bedside manner, super in office visits as well as easing fears in ER. He can be a bit late at times getting to you, but that is only because he takes time with his patients. He will refer one to a specialist if needed in a timely manner. After a recent clinic visit, he even called her at home to check up with her.She and I both think he is a wonderful, conscientious Dr. - well deserving of a happy face and a gold star!!

Always takes the time to really find out what the problem is - even had some information on holistic medicines I was interested in, and explained the positives and negatives without any percieved bias towards Western medicine. Don't see him often, but when I do, I am very glad that he is available.
