Took weeks to get an appointment, then was called by the doctor’s office and scheduled me another week out. During the appointment was very attentive and knowledgeable. Told me that she would call in prescriptions for my maintenance medicines that I take. The medication was not called in that day. The following day I called and they asked again what pharmacy I used and would call it in. Still no medicines called in. After numerous calls over nine days and complaints two of the medicines were called in. Each call was stressful, and some of the staff was very rude. Dr. Short only works at this location (Carroll County Hospital) three days a week, and during this time there is no coverage for her absence. I highly recommend not using this facility unless you only have a cold and can wait it out.

This doctor has been my "primary care provider" for 6 months and I have only had the chance to meet her once. Oh, I have been sick and had to be seen by whoever is available (sometimes not even in her clinic); but she is always to busy to see me. I am over 50 years old and have several chronic physical issues, but it is impossible to ever see her to discuss them or get a regular blood test run to see how I am doing. She says she has to see me (or at least I am told this by her nurse) before prescribing my needed medications, but I have to jump through hoops, make dozens of calls to her office, run there at difficult times to the the Nurse Practitioner just to get a prescription. This doctor would not know me if she saw me and she doesn't seem to care what becomes of me or my health.
