Dr. Hugo was very thorough and professional. However, unfortunately his front desk staff has been unkind, rude and dismissive to me each time I have had to phone or come in. Today she actually hung up on me! I am so frustrated and have no idea where to turn to with this kind of treatment or experience.

I was extremely nervous about a colposcopy appointment. He took the time to explain everything, wanted to know my understanding on it and explained everything he did while he was doing the procedure. I felt very comfortable and felt my concerns were well considered. I felt he took his time and I was not rushed.

Anxious, frustrated & disappointed and neglected with what i feel right now writing this review. I will encourage everyone to register online in www.interiorhealth.ca and get the app. Certain results though will not be posted in your portal but blood test, ultrasound, xrays will. even though i know my result of fsh called them after 3days frans stated "it is not in yet" LIER! I called because i want him to get back to me as he said he will phone me because within a day i can receive your result, i phoned again after 3weeks and never got back from him! Tried today, dang machine again got me! Almost everytime i phone! hate leaving the message and I'm pretty sure it's not just me hate taking to the machine, tried 10mins after and office closed! Cant win!..as the result of my AMH haven't got heard too and it's posted on my records online but just said that "sample send to referal for lab testing" as i said some results are go through your doctor not on your portal but i got the bill! My FHS and AMH results will determine if i need to be referred to the fertility clinic or just need fertility pill, so 2 months later he still hever did get back, until now i am not referred to any firtility clinic. He is always like that that i had to wait a month after he get back to me, need to phone numerous times until it'll catch his attention and this is the longest 2 dang months, i had my ultrasound he didn't even tell me i cyst in my ovaries! Details like that patient should know! Get the app to see if you're OB doctor really cares on you... I can read some reviews from fran, with what I've experienced with her she seems doesn't have a empathy skill, one time i asked her if dr. Hugo will do calling instead of seeing him, and she stated "lot of people ask that but I'm sorry you have to see him because he will not do it on the phone"
I just reply okay i understand. I wish she know that i lose my baby when we hit the ditch on our way for ultrasound to Cranbrook year 2017, i wish she knew that driving for almost 3hrs to see him for 10mins would rather help doing it on the phone. And i wish both of them know the value of time I've been wasted! my family doctor referred me to him last November 2018 (11months since the miscarriage).... (9 months) of wating/wasted and counting! am 34 looking for help and feeling helpless! Dr. Hugo is not man of his word and Cant rely on him, Wish i was referred to someone else.
I will update if he gets any better (i hope)
I want to be the eye of the public to see if he treat his clients/patient right fairly and equally no matter what race you are.

Feels like everytime you see him as if his worried about his time..the minute he start talking he's done!..he will not get back to you when whats the next procedure or need to be done, phoning his office your lucky if she will answer your call not to the machine. Slacky team!

I want to Thank Dr Hugo for looking after my daughter and delivering her healthy son, 4 yrs ago today. Her pregnancy was difficult but both are very well today. . Thank you Dr Hugo, from a very grateful Grandmother.

Would not offer options for my problems and just gives out cream and prescription and that's it.
Said he could not do anything else and another doctor said there were options. Not reliable

Dr. Hugo is a very knowledgable and empathetic person. He truely knew what he was doing and went above and beyond in the emergency situation Post delivery of my second child. He was informative, and easy to ask questions before and after my surgery. This care also extended to my family who went through the emergency with me. I would highly reccomend going to Dr Hugo.

Dr. Hugo was very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring during all visits, pre-op and post-op, and also proceeds my surgery (hysterectomy).
He referred me as well to a Urologist in Calgary for a second opinion due to my age and my situation. Dr. Hugo never hesitated to answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable and confident going into surgery with his team. He is very trustworthy and competent.... and really made me feel that he cares about my recovery and wellbeing.
I would recommended him to all my ladies friends who need a OBGYN.

Dr. Hugo was personable and took time to explain what the medical diagnosis. He was straightforward and was able to answer any questions I had. However, I did have some concerns in regards to over hearing the receptionists on the phone - first they would they would confirm the patients name on the phone, then they would repeat their date of birth , address and phone number before stating what the medical appointment was for...so no patient confidentiality. At Dr. Hugo's reception desk - confidential medical information sitting out which I totally could read....

Dr. Hugo is kind, humorous and extremely knowledgeable. He worked with a urologist to help find a diagnosis for me, and also recommended pelvic floor physical therapy which no other professional had recommended. This recommendation has had a positive impact on my life and I am grateful to have had an OBGYN who was sympathetic/knowledgeable.
