I really cannot express how grateful I feel to have found Dr. Marzili, just a stone's throw from where I great up, in Medford NJ. To give you some context, I have a long and complicated medical history that started at the age of 5 (I am now 37), including cancer, chronic illness, sepsis and various other health complications related to those events. It's nothing to brag about, but I have been around Doctors all my life and so I feel I can assess competency and bed-side manner pretty regularly.
That said, Dr. Marzili is one of the most down-to-Earth, disarming and personable General Practitioners I have ever met. Even though I consider myself medically literate on the issues I face(ed), and that I take pains to advocate for myself in the patient-to-Doctor dynamic, I can confidently say Dr. M knows what he is talking about and if he does not know something (which any smart/honest/competent person should be able of doing!) he will tell me he does not know and find-out, or help me find out. While he has the vibe of being a Medical Authority, he is not someone you will be afraid to ask questions of for fear of being seen as stupid or annoying, and he is also open to my perspective and compares it with his experiences. Last but not least, he is just a genuine, humble, friendly person with an easy going sense of humor.
Any review of Dr. Marzili would not be complete without reviewing his support-staff. Front the front-desk to the Nurse Practitioner's/Nurses that he works with--everyone is kind, they do not project their stress onto you, and they are just as receptive as Dr. M. I believe Dr. Marzili's temperament influences the entire office, and everyone there is happy to be there (well, as happy as one can be at work!).
They are efficient---I hardly wait before I am called---and through an Online Patient-Portal they use, it is very easy to ask questions to Dr. M or the staff, schedule appts, see all the meds you may take, and access your medical records. This saves a lot of time for me and them, I think.
If you have not been to the Doctor in a while, because you generally feel uncomfortable with the idea, Dr. Marzili is the kind of Doctor you would likely do well with. Also, if you are older, or have an older parent/loved-one who does not like Doctors, I think his genuine and kind manner would put people of all ages at ease.
