Have been a patient of his for over 20 years. Dr. Tierney has always been there for me. He’s knowledgeable, patient, kind, and supportive. His staff is also top notch. Unlike many other doctors I’m never kept waiting unnecessarily in his office. He’s never dismissive and always interested in my concerns and what I have to say. He also has a good sense of humor! Wouldn’t want another primary!

Dr. Tierney doesn't follow the safe COVID-19 policies that are recommended by Penn Medicine. He doesn't follow the American Cancer Society guidelines for breast cancer screenings. He doesn't pay attention to why you are visiting him and does whatever he pleases to you without even asking. Find another doctor that will keep up with the latest research to keep you safe and healthy.

Talked over and interrupted me. Suggested I make changes to my work area that were not feasible. Seemed skeptical of my health claims and kept questioning them as if it were an interrogation. The reception desk had business cards for both doctors; I can see why the other doctor's cards were almost gone, while his were still fully stocked. Waste of time and money.

I have seen him for annual physicals for over ten years. I was perfectly healthy and did not mind him much. He loves to talk and mostly loves the sound of his own voice. He certainly comes across as condescending. A few months ago I had a major procedure done and my experience with him and his staff was most disappointing. He is not very accessible and does not like to talk on the phone. If you want a family physician for annual visit he is ok but if you are looking for a caring physician who will guide you when you are not well, go to someone else.

He is a great doctor. Very caring. Takes the time to listen. I have been to him for twenty years and wouldn't consider using anyone else.

He has an odd manner that comes off as cold and rude. My advice is to look elsewhere.

Way too arrogant, and poor bedside manner. Gave me a breast examination when I was there for an unrelated issue. I didn't feel comfortable, and that was the first and last time I ever went to his practice.

Dr. Tierney has poor bedside manner. He can be condescending and critical. He may be knowledgeable in medical issues, but a large part in helping patients feel better is being supportive and caring which he is not. His staff is largely unhelpful and unfriendly. They all make the process difficult--from trying to get an appointment, prescription or referral. If you want to feel like it is your fault for being sick, you should go here.

dr. tierney was extremely creepy. after flirting with me, and then walking me to the front door (what doctor does that!), he saw that i was parked in a handicapped spot. (i had a temporary handicapped pass while pregnant due to other issues.) he said that those people who park in handicapped spaces deserve to be handicapped. he said this without knowing what issues i had to warrant a handicapped pass. i never went back there again.
