I have been a patient since about 2004, have been very pleased with the care I have received by him and his staff. He has been very forthright when explaining the treatments he recommends. Thanks to his prodding, I finally had a mammogram that diagnosed breast cancer on me last fall.

He is very arrogant, self centered. Has run people down behind their backs

Dr. Shumard is known for his arrogance and bad temper. He regularly criticizes employees and has caused at least two employees to quit working for his clinic rather than put up with the extreme verbal abuse. He has also been involved in domestic abuse situations which doesn't speak well of his demeanor. My advice is to seek someone else when you are looking for a doctor in this area.
