I have been going over to DR Kang for a few years now and have nothing but positive comments for the place. Irma Prentzel is a cranky old bat and the reason she is writing her comment is because they refuse to treat her and she was not charge for he visit. An other Karen!

My experience with Dr. Kang January 25th 2022 after spending $1.900 in his office.
I made an appointment for a filling January 25th and was told to come half hour earlier because my freezing takes longer to be effective. I called a week before the appointment because I could not bite on a crown he had done 2 month before, but otherwise no pain, I was told they let the dentist know.
Arriving at the office I was waiting almost an hour when I finally got to see dr.Kang, I ask why I had to wait so lang, he said to take it up with the office, the assistant said in the staff meeting that morning they changed my appointment to investigate the crown problem.
The office neglected to call me so I could have come later.
After the crown examination Dr. Kang ask me if I still wanted the filling, I ask him do you have time, he replied I am running late, but YES I can do it. I reminded him of my freezing taken longer, he ask the assistant to look in the notes, but proceeded with the freezing, about 10 minutes he gave my more freezing and a short time later he started drilling, I couldn’t take it it still hurt.
He got very frustrated, ripped out the dam and said I HAVE NO MORE TIME, MAYBE I AM NOT THE DENTIST FOR YOU AND WALKED OUT, leaving me with a mouth full of freezing for many hours.
Needless to say I was devastated and very shaken?
I had to search for new dentist
Dr. Kang office did not forward all the X-rays to my new dentist and what they send is of bad quality , old school not up to modern standards.

Our family have been patients of Dr Kang for many years and consider him an excellent dentist. He keeps up to date on new procedures in his field and regularly replaces equipment. The office and consulting rooms are spotless and his staff are well trained and go 'the extra mile' to help when a dental emergency occurs. There is little turn over in staff and patients are treated as friends. Appointments are usually on time, but occasional delays are because a procedure turns out to be more complex and is completed carefully and correctly at the time. Dr Kang's assistants, Marion and Dana, are knowledgeable and anticipate his requirements. The hygienist team are also excellent and Dr Kang does a check at the conclusion of the visit. Highly recommend this practice.

I am so relieved to be with Dr Kang now after so many years of questionable dental care. I was referred to him to remove many mercury amalgam fillings. He has all the equipment required to remove mercury safely, and is wonderful in explaining patiently and doing a thorough ,meticulous job. He knows how to freeze the area so that it doesn't hurt, which removes the fear I developed from childhood experiences with dentists. I went in this week for the removal of a crown and mercury underneath it and it turned out the whole tooth had to be removed, which he explained and then accomplished within the time available. He gave me a sheet of information and a prescription for painkillers, but it hasn't been as painful as expected. He's the best dentist I've ever had and I highly recommend him. The office is welcoming too, with helpful and cheerful staff. The only difficulty is that I'm travelling from Kingston to see him!

I have been with Dr Kang since he opened his office in Stittsville, he is awesome so my whole family of 5 goes there. Karen is an awesome hygienist we see regularily.

I've been seeing Dr. Kang for about 10 years. I disagree with complaints made here about rude staff and how he has gloom doom attitude (he's always smiling). However, he failed to satisfy some needs I had, and failed to address them and talk to me in detail about it. At some times I felt confused as to what I needed done on my teeth next. Therefore, I find him one of the good dentists but not great. The price is quite high actually. I decided to change my dentist after my friend recommended Dr. Lee actually. But Dr. Kang is not bad at all.

I've lived in a number of cities. I Can't compare Dr Kang to other Ottawa dentists as he is the only one I went to here. But I've had a much better overall experience with other dentists I've used previously. I will be looking for another Stittsville / Kanata dental office. Again, I wouldn't say he's terrible by any means, but for my money, and dental work requires a lot of it, I intend to keep shopping. Thanks
