I have 2 kids in braces at the same time. Dr klima is great and explains everything. One child was projected to be in braces at least 6 months longer because of her treatment plan. Braces are corrective one can't expect overnight results. Following instructions religiously is the key. Keep in mind once you agree to a price that is what you pay, even if treatment takes longer. Unless of course you have some special circumstances. Highly recommended! !

I was treated by Dr. Klima from seventh to ninth grade, and he has done an extraordinary job with my teeth. He was always really patient, really nice, has worked on a lot of my friends who go to Lake Braddock. As long as you listen to him and wear your rubber bands or whatever and actually USE your palette expander the way that he tells you to (basically LISTEN TO HIM) your teeth will turn our beautifully in two years or less. (Maybe slightly more depending on how crooked your teeth are in the first place). In any case, Dr. Klima looks at you and treats the WHOLE you. He takes care of your overbite/underbite, your teeth and their alignment, your jaw alignment - he's awesome. I still see him whenever I get back home from college, and I wear my retainer every night and it's all golden from the moment you walk in his door. The front deskers are also really nice!

just like the other post, I too went to Dr. Klima and took my 19 year old daughter to him as well. I am now initiate orthodontics for my 12 year old and Dr. Klima is first on my list of preferable orthodontist. I had to have complicated jaw surgery towards the end of my orthodontic treatment, not due to poor procedures but to poor bone structure, tmj, and a tremendous overbite that needed more than braces. I always find Dr. Klima a kind, approchable, and knowledgable person. Some may take his soft spoken character as a bad bedside manner, but this is not the case. Considering the price we were given by one of his competitors (ex-partners) and the evassive approach to treatment that another orthodonists suggested to correcting my daughter's teeth, I feel that Dr. Klima offered high quality, fair value treatment.

As a teenager, I went to Dr. Klima. Today, I take my children to him. I trust him like crazy, and he has fixed everything from super complicated teeth that required jaw surgery to straightforward braces. I also like that he doesn't rush to put braces on younger kids, as do so many orthodontists these days, as he knows it often requires a second round. The office staff is unbelievably polite and helpful -- and a few remembered me vividly from 28 years ago! I wouldn't go any place else.

Don't listen to the idiot on 06/11/07 that said Dr. Klima was a terrible orthodontist--it sounds like some stupid kid that didn't like wearing braces (who does?). I went to Dr. Klima from age 13-16 years every couple weeks when I had my braces. He originally said I would wear them for 2-2.5 years. It ended up being 3 and I wore the retainer for another 3 years after the braces were removed. Dr. Klima was incredibly nice and knowledgable and always took the time to get to know his patients, despite the busy practice. The office staff were great, too. So, follow the other good reviews on here and go see him. You will not regret your money or time spent!

Dr. Klima's office is run very efficiently, they are always pleasant and flexible with scheduling. As we are military, Dr. Klima has worked with us to complete orthodontic care prior to our next move. We could not be more pleased with the service we receive and highly recommend Dr. Klima.

Both of my children have had braces on their teeth. I like Dr. Klima very much and believe he does a very good job with patients. The office staff are very nice and the system they have set up in the back keeps patients on time and out the door while giving attention to what is needed for care.
