Dr Mendoza is a good doctor but his front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. Trying to get an appointment takes 3-4 weeks, she over books and leaves no extra time for emergency appointments. They need to do better.

I am absolutely appalled at the way this doctor treats my mom. Someone who is suffering and basically gets scoffed at. This has been going on way to long and this doctor needs to learn how to listen and empathize with his patients. If someone is struggling with a sore throat, you don't send them to and eye doctor. This is exactly the type of thing this doctor does. He should honestly be ashamed of himself.

Re: Doctor Paul Mendoza.

He is friendly, maybe just friendly enough, though not rude. Beside manners, in the area of communication, could be improved. Patients provide him with information about a condition, he may ask a few questions, and then a determination about treatment is made. Dr. Paul does can be either inconsistent or not thorough when there is a clear need to conduct examinations of the body pertaining to the specific symptoms and information presented. Sometimes he will not utilize time to examine fully!

The conversations between doctor and patient/client should be more detailed and more two-way (back and forth conversation) -- often conversations are brief, single statements. Again, lacking thorough questioning (e.g. do you feel this, did you do that, have you eaten any ____, is your memory foggy, are you taking supplement ___ ?). Lacking in investigative skills.

The time a client/patient waits in the waiting area is extensive 35+ minutes. Consistently. This is excessive and either the scheduling is too crowded or the front desk staff are asking clients to show far too early for their appointments.

The days to obtain an appointment (3-5 weeks) is excessive. This suggests that the client/patient load is presently too high and/or there are too many chronic health patients. Not sure what he can do to alleviate this situation, but it certainly causes stress on the patients, being that they cannot get timely appointments.

The front desk staff is too short in demeanor and tact, without polished skills in client service. She is multi-lingual; could this be the primary skill that qualified for the position? Skills in conversing in multiple languages should not trump requirements to communicate effectively and politely within the role one occupies.
