Let's get this out of the way. YES, you will have to at times wait a few hours to see Dr. Tabsh. However, if you want the best OBGYN Dr. watching over you and your unborn child, Dr. Tabsh is your man. As a new parent you are immediately comforted by his knowledge and expertise. Sure he is not the most talkative doctor, however he is always available for you to ask any questions or bring up any concerns you may have. He has many patients which is why he runs late not to mention deliveries, but he is always kind & courteous and gives you all the answers with a warm smile. His staff is knowledgeable & friendly. Please don't be discouraged by the wait time. We have been in to see him every week for the first 5 month of pregnancy and we have only had a really long 4 hour wait once. Average wait 1-2 hours. If you want to be in the best hands possible, you want to be in Dr. Tabsh's hands.

Dr. Tabsh is the most knowledgeable OB. I see him to ensure a healthy delivery and baby, not to be coddled. He attends 99% of his births and delivers at three hospitals in the area.

Dr. Tabsh is the best. We've seen him for four ultrasounds (including my CVS, which was an uncomfortable procedure that went flawlessly) and really like him. He's not chatty, but he does answer questions, and he has an amazing dry humor. Both my husband and I are very confident in the specialty care Dr. Tabsh has provided.

I had to deal with this doctor about 6 years ago and let me tell you if your looking for bedside manner he is not the guy. i remember wait time was long and he is just plain bland but from what i understand he is the best. Now i am on my 4th and last pregnancy and was just told i needed to see him again! i cringed when i heard his name and thought i would look him up and see what everyone else thinks and sounds like we all agree - bad bedside manner - excellent doctor. Most brilliant people are usually like this so i will go with the flow.

Excellent Doctor! Bedside manner a little dry but who cares because you are there for his knowledge, not to date him. I can't appreciate him enough for delivering two healthy boys for me.

The worst experience ever. My CVS test was performed at 1 in the morning by inserting a needle into my abdomen. Doctor did not even explain why he chose this method instead of vaginal (he actually had to, according to the paper I signed before the test). I had a severe pain shock during the procedure. Dr. Tabsh was tired and rude. He damaged the baby's sac and all amniotic fluid leaked out (I saw it on the screen, but I did not know that it was amniotic fluid), but he did not say anything, and only 5 days later I found out (doing sonogram at another office) that there was almost no fluid, and I had to be on disability for a month after that to save my pregnancy. Even if he was the last doctor on the earth, I would not go again.

Dr. Tabsh delivered my son in November 2007. My pregnancy was high risk with some complications. I was initially put off by his demeanor, but that is how he is - he does not talk much. Every single person I have spoken to (many doctors included) told me he is dedicated and simply the best at what he does. So in the end I overlooked the negative as having the best care was most important to me. And I certainly got the best care possible and I now have a healthy baby boy. The wait times are long, but he is absolutely worth it. When I delivered at 9:00 a.m. in the morning, I thought now it's my turn to make everyone wait. He will be there for you no matter what time.

My OB whom I LOOOOOVE referred me to Dr. Tabsh after my AFP came back positive for Downs Syndrome. My doctor told me right away that I would not like his personality at all, but he was the smartest man you could ever meet. He was 100% correct. The other reveiwer was right, if he says nothing you have nothing to worry about. That is exactly what happend to us. He did the ultrasound, packed up and started to walk out. I chose not to have him to the amnio and our baby came out heatlthy. We will go back to Dr. Tabsh for an ultrasound with my current pregnancy, also. I did have to wait, but don't I remember it being very long, he was stuck on the freeway and I was the first patient when he arrived at the office. His staff was also very pleasant.

Dr Tabsh is simply the best. People complain about the wait times but the truth is he delivers at 3 LA area hospitals and if someone is in need he hits the FWY and goes to see them. When it was my turn I am glad he came instead of worrying about the people in the waiting room. As for his bedside manner I always found him warm and kind. He has a dry sense of humor so maybe some people don't get it but I adored him. Despite the high risk to my pregnancy I knew I was in the best possible hands. I could trust his opinion absolutely and that was well worth my time and effort to see him.

I would not go to anyone else. This man is the most dedicated physician I have ever met. He is not chatty, not a hand-holder, but simply brilliant and genuine. I can only imagine how difficult his work must be, dealing with the highest risk, most difficult pregnancies in Los Angeles and quite frankly, in the world ( I know he travels internationally for some patients). The waiting room stories are true - there is often a long wait, but there was nothing more important to me than seeing the best OB in LA, regardless of wait time. Dr. Tabsh is well worth the wait.
