Awful bedside manner. I called him sit and he got mad and said in a rude voice "I'm not in the military ."

He is not very knowledgeable, doesn't know you even after 8 years. Difficult to get appts and get prescription refills. Looks at his watch and very impatient, doesn't take time to explain. Not current with new treatments. Staff rude. Is chubby but quick to lecture you about diet. Wish I had left sooner!

My review is in line with the more recent review. I've had no trouble getting what I needed for prescriptions, but he is careful not to overprescribe as a doctor should be. He is awful with remembering your name, actually, he only knows it if you are a frequent flyer or if he looks at your name on your chart before he enters the room! He orders tests when they are needed and doesn't when they are not. I wouldn't say he's deeply invested in you, but he's a good doctor who gives appropriate care.

Dr. Nathanson has been my PCP for the past 5 years or so and I am completely pleased. He nudges you toward better health without preaching, he has a great sense of humor, great follow through when you are sick, and assists you in furthering your care with specialists. He truly cares about his patients' health and wellbeing. He won't over-prescribe addictive or unnecessary medications but gives you exactly what your diagnosis and the severity of your condition demands. He is a real team player and partners well with you to achieve your health goals.

He may be one of the nicest guys around and will always remember your name, but he will prescribe nothing but aleve for all your medical needs. The man doesn't bother to figure out much about your condition or suggest tests to do so.
