The staff is very good. As for the doctor, he is very ignorant and does not respect his patient. He will talk down to you as if he is better than everyone else. I do not recommend this doctor

Doctor is terrible, arrogant, and self absorbed. All about money and wants cash upfront...does not accept insurance. Staff and doctor very judgemental and non empathetic.

This is the best Dr. in this area. Takes time with you, listens, and acts. Great support from office staff.

This doctor charges almost twice what other doctors do for a visit who are paying cash. He also wanted $700 for a monthly therapy program when other doctors charge about $120. I once went to get some prednisone from him when I had just got poison oak. Poison oak usually makes my face swell up and is excruciatingly painful. Prednisone is the ONLY thing that seems to help. He gave it to me, but initially wanted to wait until I was in excruciating pain from it before he prescribed it on my "next" visit. Then the bill for a ten minute office visit with him was almost $400. I guess if you're insured, you have less to worry about, but he is otherwise horribly overpriced. He was also pushy and arrogant.

This doc is awesome! He listens to you and helps you meet you own goal not someone else's with no underlying motives or judgements! He is very comfortable to be around and really knows his****! He spends as much time as YOU need 30, 45, 60 mins, not a planned 5 min visit like most docs and I can call him anytime day or night for help and he always calls me back. Dr. H is very motivated to help you be the best person you can be with the best treatment plan to get you there. I feel very safe in his care. A+++ Never had a better doc. I send all my family and friends to him.

Dr. Howalt is extremely compassionate (great bedside manner), helpful (will refer to Specialist, if needed), and above average knowledge (perform detailed labs to help those with complex illnesses). He will refer to Specialist, if needed. Weak link is his staff; somewhat unhelpful and error prone. Make sure you have appointment written down and double check it is still on their calendar a few days beforehand. Other problem is the handicap parking is on a hill above the office, have to walk down stairs or walk down fairly steep driveway (i.e. the building needs an elevator.) However, I do highly recommend this office! :)
