Dr Ford is knowledge, can be helpful, diligent, and compassionate HOWEVER Two employees Dawn and Chris are terrible.... tend to hand out prescription of Bactroban as a cure all without appropriate AMA guidelines for screening. I.E. no cultures of significant depth, no biopsy. Etc. Curious if these two incompetent baffons ever heard of streptococcus. Obviously prefer cosmetic procedures. I wasadvised by front office that Dr. Ford would review Chris or Dawn's opinion yet both refused to ask him at my request. Both Dawn and even mote so Chris seem to believe they are physicians. Worst told by Chris nothing wrong; 2nd opinion 1 day later MERSA diagnosis.

This is the worst Dermatoligist i have ever seen, and i have had several. His staff member was the one who done the cutting and sewing on each of my visits there. Most of the time i got an infection from his work. Also, when my Family Practitioner saw the stitches first hand, they made mention of the poor quality work. Worst scarring i have ever had. Soon went and found another doctor.

I was sent to Dr. Ford by my primary for a questionable spot on my face. He spoke to me for two minutes, said he didn't think it was anything to worry about but he could cut out the area and send it to the lab. He said there would be minimal scaring. I had no time to think about it so I trusted him. I now have a permanent visible pinhole in my face that stretches when I smile, it's very upsetting. Round 2, I went back because during my yearly exam my Doctor said I should go and have a full body check just so that I would have a baseline for any skin cancer which may or may not show up. When Dr. Ford came in, he asked why I was there and I told him what my Dr. had said. (I was already naked and in a gown.) I did not feel comfortable at all. He looked me over but kept asking who had referred me and why. He seemed to be looking over at the nurse a lot. He acted like I had a disease and barely touched me. After about 2 minutes of looking me over, he declared that I was fine. I am a b

Everyone in the office was extrememly kind and helpful - I was very nervous and I was comforted and coached along the way. I found the physician and the pa very professional and respectful. I would highly recommend this practice.

I was referred to Ford who is one of the principals behind Southeastern Dermatology by my primary physician to have Ford look at a small spot. My primary physician told me the reason why he was referring me to Ford was because all the other dermatologists had long waits and Ford did not. I made the appt and told the receptionist I wanted an all over inspection and to have Ford look at this small spot. When I showed up, Ford said the spot was ok but he could take it off if I wanted. I said ok but I did not know that there was no medical reason to take the spot off. And Ford did not mention that there would be a horrible scar on the side of my hip for the rest of my life. About 12 minutes after stepping into the exam room and meeting Ford, Ford had earned $648 for himself and left. No all over exam. (Well, I did not find out how much all this cost until several weeks later when I got the bill). I complained verbally to his office and wrote a letter which they blew off.
