Sorry, but this guy is awful. So condescending. Arrogance level I have never encountered even among physicians, specialists and surgeons whose intelligence and success may far exceed his. Just a real boor. I don't know if he is just this way with women or with everyone, but I, for one, will never trust him again. Run away.

I also found Dr Costello rushed and slightly condescending, but he did sit down and listen to my anesthesia history and included me in the decision of my drug choices. I remember very little about the OR but I did wake up very rapidly in the recovery room feeling alert and able to get out of bed that evening despite a big incision. So I would say that he did a good anesthetic.

Awful. Rushed. Distracted. Didn't seem to have read anything in my chart at all and knew nothing about me. Asked the same questions over and over again. Thankful I woke up. Should have asked for another doctor.

I only saw Dr. Costello on the day of my surgery, and I was very nervous about "going under". He listened to my concerns, explained the pros & cons of various options, and then gave me excellent care. I am no longer afraid of anesthesia and would recommend him to friends/family in need of surgical anesthesia.
