He was absolutely terrible. I came in greatly concerned about my physical health and blamed it all on anxiety and depression without even considering my concerns about my stomach problems. He didn’t ask me any personal sincere questions, just assessed my mental health with an online quiz. Then tried to push medication, saying “I don’t know what to do about it, if you don’t want meds”. Which made me feel very hopeless. I left feeling worse than I came.

This guy realized I was in extreme pain at the ER when no one else did. He actually got upset or frustrated with those who put me on the non-urgent list. I had follow-ups with him every week for about two months. He went home to get a piece of equipment unavailable at the hospital. He is caring and has a good sense of humour. If it wasn’t for Dr Allen, I probably would have had to have major surgery affecting my quality of life in the aftermath. Good doc.

I waited in BTHC ER for 6 hours to see if my foot was broken and it was. The nurses were wonderful. Dr. Allen was okay, he was brief and matter of fact. I was hoping he would show a bit of compassion and actually look at my foot, but i guess the x-ray showed him what he needed to see.

I broke my collarbone. Went in because the bone was popping in and out of place. After waiting 4.5 hours, I was in the room off the nurses desk with the door open. I overheard Dr Allen ask the nurse why I was there if I had a follow up in two weeks and then proceeded to say I had to “suck it up. Suck it up buttercup” while the nurse responded “yeah you should tell her that!!”. When he came into the room he was a completely different person and after he didn’t give me any relevant information, I confronted him about his behavior. He “apologized” for what he said but it was more or less an apology for the fact he got caught. I asked for his name and made a formal complaint with the hospital and will NEVER allow that man to touch me. I encourage everyone who has a bad experience with him to report it to hospital manager and to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Unbelievably horrible experience with him. Never felt more degraded in my life.

Horrible experience. Patient neglect. False accusations of family members. Does CW Wiebe or Boundary Trails management have any standards to uphold?

This guy is still allowed to practice? How? Is management at CW Wiebe oblivious to this guys behaviour towards patients and their families? Do something Jim Neufeld.

I mean... if you want to feel like a worthless shell of a human after listening to him degrade you with his ego.... then sure I guess go see him?

Saw him with some genuine concerns. All he did was interrupt me and dismiss my comments. He actually didn’t address any of my concerns or questions and made it clear he has an ego problem with how he handled the whole things.

Winkler and area residents......there is a reason this is the only doctor available to take new patients when you call in. You’re better off without a Doctor, go on the waiting list for another, and just attending urgent care when needed in the interim. Trust me, and all these accurate reviews.

I Described my two year olds seizure to “Dr” Allen, and before I finished explaining the incident he dismissed it, did not complete a physical of his head or eyes, said it probably was not a seizure and then when I asked what we should do from here since he had no medical recommendations or follow up he said “go on with your life as normal”. He was rude, dismissive, unprofessional, unhelpful, and I feel uneasy bringing my toddler home after such poor care and no examination despite turning the day upside down to make arrangements to get him in to be seen. He should be fired.
