The front office staff is rude, unprofessional and make you feel as if you are imposing on them and in their way - they can't wait to get rid of you. The doctors are completely the opposite - caring and friendly although they are crazy busy. Dr Mednick is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He is the best.

I had taken my mother to see Dr. Mednick for cataract surgery. He's very nice BUT his staff are horrible, abrupt, very rude and they don't even care one bit how they treat Dr. Mednicks patients.

Went in for a cataract surgery that was bumbled by Dr. Mednick resulting in a shattered
lens, a torn and detached retina and, after one year, four more doctors and three operations the most positive prognosis is to eventually achieve 20% vision.

My friend got a detachment of retina and was referred by Grand River Hospital to Dr. Mednick on Oct 29,2016. Dr. Mednick could see my friend on Oct 30 but he wanted to are her on 11pm Oct 29 night. He checked and arranged surgery for my friend with Toronto Western Hospital at mid night; to make sure us can go to the hospital ASAP, he told us how to drive there and even let us to drive to the Gardiner Express Way at mid night on his way home. My Aunt just had her second surgery with Dr. Mednick. I was very impressed with his bedside manner and thoroughness. A very nice guy, too. I accidentally knocked his bag onto the floor and he motioned that it was okay, when others might have snarled at me! He did a wonderful job. After only a couple hours, my Aunt was able to see completely. As an added bonus we went straight from the hospital to his office and he took us in immediately even though our appointment wasn't for an hour. This doctor's a rock star and you can tell he loves what he does.

Just had my second cataract surgery. Dr. Mednick performed both surgeries and I am beyond impressed with his expertise and attitude. Dr. Mednick is very thorough in his examinations and has a kind and thoughtful bedside manner. He and his office staff always accommodated my schedule and went beyond my expectations in their ability to make me relaxed and reassured. Highly recommend this team to those who think opthalmologists are cold, unfeeling docs working on an assembly line. Dr. Mednick is a highly skilled and compassionate surgeon.

Dr. Mednick is easily one of the finest physicians in Canada.Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and thorough,and compassionate, he does not hesitate to obtain another opinion if he detects a problem that does not fall within one of his many areas of expertise. Another admirable quality is that he truly cares for his patients, and spends as much time as is required to properly treat his patients and follows up after treatment. He is , simply, the best.

Dr. Mednick is very kind and thorough. He takes his time with his patients. It always strikes me how polite he is - physicians these days are just not the same.
