She is very careful and uses good references to specialists.... a sign of an A+ GP... I really miss her ....she has a great deal to offer. She is fun as well.

Dr. McKay is an ASSET to her profession. In my experiences Dr. McKay has done nothing less than go ABOVE AND BEYOND her duties. In 2009 my mother was in the Moncton hospital dying from Alzheimer's. My mother was originally from Fredericton and all her family lives here as well. We wanted her transferred to F'ton. In order to do that, we had needed a Dr. in F'ton to take her on as a patient. I made an appointment with Dr. McKay to ask her that favour, readilly willing to understand an accept the fact she already had many patients should she decline. Instead of declining, she got right on the phone while I was sitting in her office and made several calls to Moncton requesting the transefer! My mother was in F'ton 9 days later! I would have been more than happy if it had stopped there, but Dr. McKay THOROUGHLY examined her upon arrrival and kept me informed of any new developments. Mom passed away a few months after, but I'll never forget Dr. McKay's efforts. GOD bless you Dr. McKay!

I can only say that Dr. McKay has only provided the best care possible to me. I am not talking about minor issues but the big stuff. Having a heart attack and learning I have diabetes. I am thankful everyday that she is my doctor, she has kept me alive and well so I can continue to raise my 10 year old daughter. We have always had frank and open discussions ahd she has always treated me with great respect. My only issue with the Gibson Health Clinic is the front end staff - receptionists and those that answer the phones - that is where you encounter the rudeness. Cheers

I haven't seen Dr. McKay myself, but have talked to her many times at the clinic while waiting for my own Dr. I have always found her extremely pleasant. As for the complaints about her asking for others' opinions.... would you rather a guess?? I think guessing or not getting a final answer for you would annoy you even more..... remember that they are doctors, people not machines to spit out info!

I jsut found this site so am commenting on several Drs I've had in the past etc. I knew Dr. MacKay before she met Mckay LOL!! (Went to college with her sister etc etc). Must say it was a little wierd seeing her as a Dr. in New Minas when I was preg and my Dr was on mat leave (they were in the same office). BUT she certainly made me feel comfortable and 'got through' the exam just fine. My family also had her as a GP in Middleton and were very disappointed when she left.
