A very bad physician...he didn't even look at me. his assistant was an idiot and she never gave me a direct answer or diagnosis. She just wanted me to keep coming in and spending money for nothing. This doctor is a shame to the profession and only cares about money. I also felt like i was discriminated against there.

My mother heard this was a good dermatologist so I went there for a skin issue with my face I was having. It was the worst mistake we have ever made!!! I was 24 years old and he had his assistant inject with numbing medication which I was allergic too, they didn't even give me informed consent as to what was in the injection!! Then they took a biopsy and he promised there would be no scar!! I now have a permanent scar on my cheek that I have to try to cover up with makeup everyday!! Then we called back to get the results and he said we need to do a bigger biopsy!! Don't trust this doctor, very money orientated and no bedside manner!! Unless you want a permanent scar, find another dermatologist!!!

Basically, his practice saved my social life. I had tried EVERYTHING. I had been to several different dermatologists and FOR YEARS, I've suffered with embarrasing breakouts even into my 30's. I had cycstic acne and no products worked not from tv or over the counter stuff, or what the other Dr.'s had given. I found his website and decided to give him a try. THE BEST MOVE OF MY LIFE!!!! My acne is under control my skin has NEVER been this clear I wish you could see the before and after pics! I had big red bumps that never came to a head because it was cycstic and scarring that lasted for EVER. Since seeing him I am so confident now. I always get compliments on my skin and how much it's changed. I use the products prescribed by him along with the Anew Alternative line of products from Avon and their Mineral makeup and WATCH OUT!! I just started wearing make up because I was too afraid to because I thought it would flare up more, but not since seeing this office!! They're the BEST!!

They shot my face full of numbing medication in order to remove a mole from my nose, and to excise and stitch two scars on my cheek. The shots were painful-the nurse doing the injections was without personality, insenstive..Then AFTER getting the face numbing shots-the girl leaves the room to run my credit card and comes back in to tell me it was being rejected. It was after 9:00pm so I could do nothing with my bank or even run home and come back with an alternate source of payment. (I checked my bank the next morning, and there was no PROBLEM with the account!) So she makes me get up and go out to the front desk-while I'm woozy, numb, and marked black, to call people to see if they could call in the payment for me. I could not get in touch with anyone-I was crying and frantic, leaving msgs. with family. Then the Dr.(after 20 or so minutes of making calls) decides to run the insurance for the mole removal and takes it out. He would not do the scar excision. Very impersonal/cold.

As a 26-year old I was ready to find a dermatologist who could finally get rid of the ugly acne I had been suffering from since age 13. I was so relieved to find Dr. Kolbusz who has done everything in his power to treat me. I now has beautiful skin and could not be happier with Dr. Kolbusz's care. Iread the other reviews and to be honest can't understand where they are coming from. I found Dr. Kolbusz to be very thorough, extremely knowledgable, and efficient. When I need an appointment, I'm able to get one. He is very accommodating and his office has everything there is to offer as far as dermatology goes. I would recommend him to anyone!

I am so thankful for Dr. Kolbusz. After having been going to another dermatologist for a few years, I finally decided to get a second opinion as the lesions on my face were not going away. My prior dermatologist told me to just keep watching the spots. When I went to Dr. Kolbusz he biopsied one right away. As it turns out I had a basal cell carcinoma. I would rather be biopsied any day to find out exactly what I may have than be told just watch the spots. He was very professional and maticulous with the surgery and stitching. His staff always made sure I was okay and was very informational. His offices were very nice and clean. I highly recommend him for all your dermatology needs.

Dr. Kolbusz did not even see me on my first appointment, as he pushed me off on an assistant. The assistant must be drinking the Kolbusz kool-aide, as I went in to have a wart removed (similar to what I have had done for 10 years) and I got the full body review of all moles and tags. Two of my moles were rated as cancerous and should be removed - these had been seen by another dermo and had never had that diagnosis before. As for the wart, had it numbed and surgically removed. Much to my surprise, I got a bill a few weeks later for lab work on the wart. Turns out they sent it out for analysis (which I did NOT request, nor did they mention they would do). The findings - just a wart - nothing serious. Duh, I knew that already, since I have had 4 or 5 removed in the past 10 years. I would recommend another dermo, as when I disputed the charge, they billed my credit card. I notified the credit card company and stopped payment. Will not be seeing him ever again.

I had heard of this doctor. I checked his credentials, which were wonderful, so I went to him for removal of a lesion on my face. He seemed very confident, so I felt in good hands. The excision just didn't look right, sloppy and tight. He insisted they should be in for 14 days, which seemed too long, and were removed by an assistant, who gave me little in the way of aftercare information. Dr. Kolbusz never intended to see me again, but when the wound started healing wrong, I called his office for help. I was devastated, but he showed little compassion. Instead he seemed real interested in my "precancerous" age spots, but I was much too upset about my face. He wanted me to have laser treatment every two weeks at $250 a pop. I did that twice, gave up, and began going to the Zahner practice to hopefully fix this ugly thing. I am so, so sorry I ever went there - please do not make the same mistake!

Kolbusz very quickly rates a normal mole as cancerous and then performs surgery to remove the mole. The mole had been seen by another dermatologist a few months before and was not a cause for concern. After Kolbusz removed the mole, he left a large scar near the arm pit. The mole was not cancerous. Also, except for surgery, he pushes the patients off on the physician's assistant for exams. He appears to be more interested in practicing money than practicing medicine because he wants your credit card number even before the exam.

I trusted Dr. Kolbusz on my first several visits. He seemed knowledgeable and thorough. When he started doing light treatments, however, everything changed. He said I needed the treatments. When I kept asking what they did and why I needed them, the responses were never satisfactory. I finally called the manufacturer of the light system and was told that the treatments would not cure anything. Yet the doctor and his staff kept telling me I needed to do them. I did get several treatments that cleared up some redness on my face, but at no time did anyone say this was an elective, cosmetic procedure. Dr. Kolbusz and his staff would have kept me coming in for treatments indefinitely if they had their way. Don't fall for this deception.
