I was referred to Dr. Whitman some time ago, to investigate abdominal pain, an enlarged spleen and abnormal labs. He was with me for 5 minutes, scheduled me for a colonoscopy/EGD. I specifically asked him about the ultrasound of my spleen and labs, to which he stated was of little concern. I took that at face value, trusting the specialist. After my EGD/Colon, I went in for follow up. I was told that nothing was wrong, there was no reason for my pain and given a script for omeprazole. Over a year later I still have this pain, which has gotten progressively worse, was sent to another GI for second opinion, who sent me for a CT. I was told by my PCP that Dr. Whitman should have addressed the ultrasound and labs at the initial visit.

After running 1 test on me and being hospitalized he told me he didn't know what else to do for me. Will never recommend him to anyone. So glad I found a new doctor that cares and is able to give me answers.

He is a great doctor willing to listen. BUT you must ask him questions. He won't go into too much detail unless you prod him for some answers. However, he is extremely dedicated to finding the cause of your issue, genuinely cares for his patients, performs several of the procedures himself, isn't likely to over treat or over medicate you, consults with other doctors over more difficult conditions and etc... He has even discussed natural remedies with me in the past which I prefer over some of the crazy damaging medications out there. The staff is friendly as well. Just make sure you ask questions...ask...ask...ask.

The Dr didn't have but 5 minutes to see my mother. I think he was not happy because he was already two hours late.
