This is a review from the 1980’s. I was touched and treated inappropriately by this doctor. I can’t have been the only one.

Dr. O’Mahony is not a competent doctor. He failed to diagnose my mother’s colon cancer and now is failing to diagnose or expedite tests for my father when he was serious symptoms. He should NOT be practicing Medicine. He is a danger to patients.

Phoned today to get a requisition to have a chest xray done. I have had pain in left chest on and off for 3 weeks ( Chronic lung issues my whole life). Just underwent total hip replacement 3 weeks prior. Receptionist said "you just had one done in January" this is now September. She made me an appt to see Billy in 4 weeks time!!!! She said he will xray then, so another 2 weeks to get results. I could be dead by then. Who gives this receptionist the right to determine who gets an Xray and who doesnt??? I would sure like to see her medical credentials. As a result of this I will be seeking another doctor to transfer to. Billy needs to phone me to rectify this. Hes been my doctor for over 45 years.

Doesn't believe people in pain deserve treatment. He will let you die in absolute agony, he might give you a Tylenol if you're lucky. The man has come in after he's been drinking before. Totally Irresponsible and unprofessional. I've seen how he refuses to treat dying patients in pain. He doesn't want them to get addicted. THEY'RE DYING, WHO CARES

I have been a patient of Dr. Billy's for 43 years. He is kind, competent, and knowledgeable. I have always received outstanding care. I rarely have to wait but when I do I am smart enough to know that someone else needs his time. As for vacation time- the man is entitled to have a life!

He’s old and doesn’t care about the work he does anymore. You come in with an issue, he doesn’t allow you to explain, jumps to assumptions before understanding completely what you’re facing and is quick to hand out a prescription. Old school doctor that enjoys pharmaceutical kickbacks.
If it weren’t so complicated to find another doctor, I’d have left already.

Staff are great and are very helpful. It’s a shame it’s not enough to balance out the poor experiences this GP has given me.

I had no choice but to go to him. My dr. Passed away. Oh my god. 10 years ago I was in the hospital he came in after he had been drinking. Just said you are ok. Then kiss me on my fore head. Is he nuts. I now go as little as possible to see him. You wait. You don't get time to talk. He's to touchy-feely for me. His nurse practitioner is almost as bad. I'm on disability and I have to come up with his fee every year. He is money hungry. And has to many family members to send you to. They are all a like. Sometimes it's better to google your health then go there and get more upset. His office hour depends on his vacations to Ireland. I have been told this by his staff so it must be true.

This doctor never diagnosed the fact that my father had hep c for almost 30 years. He ended up getting liver cancer and almost dying last year. Thanks to the amazing doctors in London, who knew he had hep c just from looking at him and his previous medical records, investigated further and found the cancer. With their care, my dad's diagnosis is alot more hopeful. If he had kept going to this doctor, my dad would not be here today. He's a nice guy, but was negligent and missed alot of signs a vigilant doctor would have perused further (dark leg marks, liver enzymes on bloodwork just to mention a few) It's been hard for us to deal with, as he was our family doctor for over 30 years. My father just got worse with his attempted care. If you are seeing this doctor, or any doctor really, YOU are the only true advocate for your health. Speak up and take care.

I've been seeing Dr W Omahony for probably 13 years at least. The only complaint I have is the wait time and yes it can be hard to get through to the office at times. But in my opinion it is well worth seeing a caring and thorough professional. You can't find that anywhere these days. He doesn't kick you out the door and disregard your concerns. He listens and makes an honest effort to get to the bottom of whatever issue at hand. He is very kind and has great beside manner. I don't know what I'm gonna do when this guy retires :-/
