I feel that DR Stobo is a very good doctor.He has always been there 100% for me I trust him.

I do like Dr. Stobo. Not to fussy on the office staff though. Keep in mind that if he doesn't know the answer, yes he will send you to a specialist. Did you know that he gets paid to send patients to a specialist? He probably makes more money that way!!

Terrible and unorganized staff and clinic. Doctor Stobo does not seem to care and is impossible to reach in emergencies.

The Clinic staff are either overworked or thy are unorganized. If they are questioned as to why it takes 4 to 6 weeks to sometimes see the Doctor, they are always quick to tell you he has 4000 other patients to look after as well. Don't I matter to them? Am I not one of the 4000? It takes weeks most times(5 in one instance) to be contacted regarding an appointments with specialists. The clinic staff never contact you with the results of blood work - they tell you that they'll call if there is any abnormality, but can we be sure they see it?? <p>I've only seen Dr. Stobo on a couple of occasions since our former doctor left Athens. He seems to find everything a joke and laughs at most answers to his questions which is very disconcerting. <p>The clinic recently started entering patient information on computers. During any visit both he and his nurse tend to spend more time entering data than actually looking at you. Overall any dealings with the clinic is very frustrating.

An excellent doctor, if he doesn't have an answer for you he sends you on to a Specialists. He has treated both my husband and myself for the past 15 years, we both think he is a great doctor.

Dr. Stobo, as was the case with Dr. Wells and Dr. Bowes before him is very caring. If he doesn't know something, he finds out or sends you to the Dr. who does know. Life has moved me almost three hundred miles from Athens and I regret to say that I haven't been able to find a doctor who comes close to giving the excellent care I used to recieve at the Athens Medical Center. b

He's a good GP but I often find you have to tell him what steps you want done (referral, xray, etc.)

He is not afraid to say "I don't know", and will send you to a specialist. The message this sends to the patient is that he is honest, and not likely to base any treatment on ego or uncertain knowledge of a specific ailment.

I love this doctor. He's very gentle and he's been my doc since I was a wee one! I switched my baby over to him as soon as I COULD! I trust this doctor because he has excellent bedside manner! He's been good with my (depressed) mom, my sister has Lupus (he's always just kinda rolled with the punches as they say) my dad has Diabetes... he was able to get all through EVERYTHING! He's got a great humour too.. I can't say enough good things about him! (Be prepared with this one though... he's always running behind LOL!!!
