Dr Hassan is an incompetent doctor . Stay away from her.

It was August 27, 2001. I was new to Quebec and needed a pap smear. I was 50 years old and had had plenty of pap smears in my time.
I have never forgotten how horrible that visit was.
Her exam was painful; she seemed clumsy.
She announced that there was something wrong ... that there was an irregularity ... possibly could be cancerous.

Guess how that made me feel.

She told me to go to the drug store across from her clinic to buy whatever it was that she needed. So, in a state of fear and worry, I had to dress, go to that store, go back yo this doctor so she could again prod my innards. She sent the swab off and told me I'd have the results in a week or so.

She showed no humanity ... no care ... and home I went.

By the way - after a very very very long week, the results were in and I was fine.

I never went back to her again.

Overall she is a great physician and has been very kind to me. I have been going to see Dr. Hassan for 11 years and over time she has become very caring. At first she was direct and straight to the point but as you become her patient she truly cares about the wellbeing of her clients. She has called me herself on numerous times to check up on me out of her own kindness and has even followed up months down the line to see how I was feeling.

Where do I even begin? I don’t normally leave reviews for anything but even a couple of years after seeing Dr.Hassan, it is still weighing on me. I went to see Dr.Hassan for a referral for a fertility specialist. After weighing me, she criticized me heavily for gaining weight (during covid) and said she didn’t want to give me a referral because of the weight gain. I have the right to know if I have reproductive issues regardless of my weight. She did give me the referral after making me feel terrible (turns out I am perfectly healthy and the issues were on my husband’s side). During the exam she never gave me a gown or a blanket to cover myself. Then she wanted to give me a breast exam and asked me to lift my shirt. After expressing that I wasn’t comfortable laying completely naked on the table without any sort of covering she just responded with “I’m a doctor. Lift your shirt.” Laying completely nude on her table as she gave me a breast exam after being scolded for gaining weight was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. I will NEVER be going to this doctor again and now have to the confidence to stand up for myself and would demand some sort of cover when being examined in the future. My current OBGYN opened my eyes to how friendly and respectful doctors should be. (He also said my weight was fine for having a baby).

Dr Hassan is very competent and sympathetic Dr
I have been searching so long to find a good gynecologist.
She took over an hour with me to go through my medical history and even caught and saw red flags otger Dr's had missed!
I would definitely recommend her.

I have not had the same experience as some wrote. I am a non muslim, Caucasian, 30 year old woman and both Dr. Hassan and the receptionist are amazing!! I would characterize Dr. Hassans personality as no-nonsense. I prefer that though - she is straight to the point and did a very thorough evaluation of my medical hsitory.

Her secretary is very rude and racist. She treated me so bad. I avoid going to this clinic.

During COVID Dr. Hassan made time out of her calendar on 3 occasions to speak with me by phone. Was very helpful.
