Had a appt Oct 8th, He knew I was diabetic with a ruptured L4 disc. He didn't order labs until the day before surgery a month later. May I add that he cancelled & rescheduled twice on day of. Labs came back my A1C was to high. OK. They waited until I drove 1hr & 10 mins to the hospital, register and in the prep room putting on the hospital gown to say , her exact words: Dr Stuart says your A1C is to high he cancelled you need to see your primary and walked out the room. I had a nervous breakdown just about. I was in level 9 pain for a month and half by that point. I feel like he should have ordered bloodwork at the time of the appointment. Instead of waiting until the day of surgery. He has no concern of what his patients are going thru neither does his staff. It would be in your best interest to seek another Surgeon. He is so busy being a Surgeon that he forgot how to be a physician & give the best care to his patients. When cancelled on Oct 31 it felt like the worst day ever. It turned out to be the best thing for me. I wouldn't have wanted him to cut my back open with his attitude & noncaring affect. Its a reason he is at the bottom half of Neurosurgeons..

I’m an active duty member with a chronic back problem. 10 months ago I got transferred to Charleston SC, couple weeks ago I started having a lot of pain in my lower back. I received a referral to go see Dr. Stuart and according to the receptionist he DECLAINED to see me without cero explanation. He clearly doesn’t care about any military personnel unless is something easy for him to fix.
