Terrible. Waited almost an hour past my appointment time. Saw me for maybe 5 mins and didn't listen to a thing I said. Then he wrote a letter to WorkSafe BC containing completely inaccurate information in it regarding my history of previous injury because he didn't even listen to what I told him. This letter has caused me nothing but problems as I try to get compensation for a work related injury resulting in a permanent condition. If you're injured at work, do not go to this Dr! He said that he hates dealing with WorkSafe patients, and he is definitely not a patient advocate.

Back surgery massively unsuccessful, with the pain maybe 10 times worse after the surgery than it was before. No beside manner whatsoever. No explanation of the risks; just handed me a printed list of those, and then, according to another Dr. at the hospital, made a record that he had given me a detailed review of those. Simply suggested that without surgery I risked potential paralysis. Afterwards, another Vernon surgeon said there had been no such risk. I continue on narcotics for the pain. Before surgery, it was merely over the counter pain meds. He seems to intend well, but is quick to make inferences, often unwarranted, arising from simple facts, without considering context. Worst decision in my life was to have surgery, but when I heard the word "paralysis", I was convinced that it was the correct way to go.

Dr. Splawinski is a skilled and caring surgeon. After removing a herniated disc ten days ago - for which I could not get timely attention at my local hospital - Dr. Splawinski has relieved me of sciatic misery & given me a new lease on life. I highly recommend him.

Had surgery 4 days ago. Will be lucky to get feeling back in foot and leg. Dr. Splawinsky is being great. Not his fault I had a reaction to the local. He will work with me to teach me how to live with the numbness. With any luck I will get some of my feeling back. Until then I put my faith in my Dr. and will work very hard.

With 3 patients having an appointment at 1 I really couldn't have expected anything more than the 4 minute appt. I got. His uncaring attitude as he told me 80% of people have back pain "live with it" ,handed me a box of tissues for m y tears and left the room, no questions or conversation that w as s my appointment,wouldn't recommend him to anyone, he is terrible.

I can never brag enough about Dr Splawinski, not only easy He caring and kind, but He is the best back surgeon in my opinion , after 12 hours of reconstructive spinal surgery , I am walking running , and doing all the fun things I used , there is no finer surgeon for what I needed done ... My forever thanks !!!
