very, very rushed and brushes off patients concerns. Unwilling to hear patients opinions on treatment.

Dr. McKim is a great guy and a truly dedicated professional. He doesn't talk down to the patient, as some doctors appear to have the need to do. His wife is Dr. Sue Dempsey and she's just as good.

He's been an excellent and understanding Dr. to me and my family. No problem with referrals and excellent personality.

I think Dr McKim is a great doctor. Sure he is running late most of the time, but it is because he has a lot of patients (a lot of elders) and they have a lot of questions & it takes up his time. He has been my doctor for 26 years and I have never had a problem with him (or any other doctor at his office) When I had a back injury, hr listened to me & referred me to different specialist yp help diagnose & solve the problem. Also, during my pregnancy, he was very helpful & understanding, & sympathetic to how I was feeling. I would recommend him to any one!

I hadn't had a family doctor and had been put on a waiting list for 2 yrs since moving back from BC. I went to see him at the clinic and he took me in as a patient right away. I find him very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. I have a heart condition that requires appointments at the hospital often and he always takes care of making the appointments for me. I have no complaints what so ever! He is a great doctor!

Never on time; never knows the answer/medicine off the top of his head (has to go look it up.... takes another 15 minutes); very chatty; makes me extremely uncomfortable.

I am not sure how he actually gets a good rating. After having several good doctors in Ontario and New York they all agreed there would be no problem in winning a lawsuit. Unfortunately, you have to get 2 doctors in NB to agree which I was unable to get (old boys network). If you have a common problem like migraines, or colds, or need a physical then he is an adequate doctor. If you have anything beyond that, forget about it. He won't refer unless you have a gaping wound, or he will refer to his wife (what a scam that is). A problem that a decent doctor in NY caught in 15 minutes of visiting him, went undiagnosed for over 3 years - blamed on various "female" problems. Had I not been in incredible pain in NY, I would have died of cancer.

Could never get through to make an appointment, office would be closed when phone message would say it should be open. Sometimes even had to drive over to make an appointment, again, only to find the office was closed during normal hours. While I was happy with his overall treatment and care, I changed to another doctor due to location convenience and the fact that the new doctor also sees my wife and child. When I asked to have my file transferred they made no mention of a charge while I was there in the office...2 days later I get a bill in the mail for $28 for stationery & postage to send my file from one side of the river to the other! I could have taken it myself! Not impressed.
