Absolutely heart broken to hear that he passed away a couple of days ago. This man saved my own mother from her mind after many years of suffering. He helped myself as a teenager go through all that I had to go through with her to ensure I was OK while she was institutionalized 4 hrs away. When she came back 2 yrs later, he ensured that she stayed stable and helped myself become diagnosed immediately on onset by collaborative Healthcare with my own psychiatrist. I've been told with my own mental health disorders, I should not be working full-time, but I am in healthcare and have had several very specific and high needs roles including Harm Reduction. I've met his wife twice as a
young child, but I remember he to be kind and caring.
His loss is a loss to not only the psychiatry world but also the art world as well. My heart goes out to his family.

He was a nut job himself so I'm not sure how he could help others. Worst health profession I've ever seen. Thank God the College made him quit practicing.

Quack of all quacks. Went to him with a problem and he berated and belittled me in front of his staff. They did nothing to stop him. Left crying and feeling so bad.

He was a qwack in 1978 and I'm sure nothing changed as he got more senile he should have had his license revoked a week after he got it I love 20 min in a room with him back in late 80s

He maxed out with advancing age. Talked about himself constantly, and only used pharmacological methods. Think some memory issues for him were also at play.

Went to him for help with an unwanted pregnancy; I was very distraught at the time. His comment to me was "Well you should have kept your pants up". Nice comment - no compassion whatsoever - real jerk!

All I can say is he is lucky my mom is still alive!. Pill pusher forsure!!! Giving some pretty rank meds! If you could hear the horror stories I have seen from them pills. Both him and them drug companies should be charged!! He is more concerned about the new young doctors making more money than him and about talking about his hunting trips then his patients!

Best psychiatrist out there. It's too bad he is going to retire but I never met such a genuine person who takes his time with you.
