Very dismissive of his patients concerns/questions,even when they are valid. fond of the just grin and bear it approach to pain/nausea. He is an excellent anesthetist but not a great GP.

I have enjoyed having Dr. Etheridge as my GP since his arrival in Prince Rupert. I have been always given great service and trust him with the information he has given me. I will miss him immensely as will the rest of my family.

I have serious concerns about this doctor as a person. He is recognized as a good anesthesiologist and that's fine but as a GP, he can be extremely dismissive of your concerns. Both my daughters went to him separately with serious concerns and he dismissed both outright. One had a large abcess on her breast which needed lancing under general anesthetic a couple days later. He told her, though in great pain, to just go home because it was "just hormones". She went straight to another doctor who put her directly on aggressive antibiotics and told her that she'd need it drained if it didn't go down in a couple days. Dr Ethridge had not even checked her. A similar scenario occured with my other daughter and we have all, since, changed doctors.
