His front line of staff has a lot of room for improvement. Took two calls and two weeks just to arrange for surgery. I had to take all the intiative to keep the process going, not even knowing exactly what it was, by the help of a freind who also had to go through with the same surgery. Dr. Wascavage is very nice and has a very good reputation, but his staff doesn't represent him well at all.

This was my first visit to Dr. Wascavage. I found him to be VERY thorough in his explanations of my options (surgery or not) and he was very thorough in his assessment. I never felt rushed, or pushed to make a decision one way or the other. I feel that I left there with all of the information I needed in order to make an informed decision.

I am extremely unhappy with the care I received. It appears that Dr. Wescavage is in it for the money, and if you are not a candidate for expensive procedures (e.g. surgery or shots) then you don't count at all. I have a bunion and a neuroma and was experiencing foot pain. Xrays showed foot deformities, and yet he prescribed an off-the-shelf arch support/insole and no more prescription than get wider shoes. I purchased the insole and wore if for a few days (breaking it in appropriately--not the the doctor gave me any clues about how to do that) my ball of foot issues flared up even worse because the insole is made for a generic foot, not MY foot. When I called the office with my feedback and the request to be fitted for a proper orthotic, I made several calls and never once received a call back. This office is incompetent. I think the doctor knows podiatry. I just think he cares more about money than his patients. Or at this THIS patient.

Superior Doctor! Was able to properly diagnose (before confirming with an MRI) a problem another prominent Orthopaedic MD missed.

Great doctor - wouldn't want anyone else. Very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond his expectations of his job. There should be more doctors like him around.
