Excellent physician. Dr. Diliberto is very knowledgeable, accurate and tells it like it is (if you can stand it). We need more doctors like him

I went in for a consultation appointment and was told I needed to pay $354 right then for the visit. I told the gal that I should only be paying a $40 co-pay as I had recently checked my benefits with Blue Shield. She said that because the doctor was a specialist, my insurance would not cover any of it and refused to run it by the insurance company first. A week later, I checked my Blue Shield claims on their website, and found that Dr. Diliberto's office had in fact submitted a claim with BS for the office visit and I was correct that I had a $40 co-pay with BS covering the rest. It has now been going on a month with 3 phone calls to the doctor's billers that I have not received a refund. They admitted it was an error that I was over-charged, but wanted to wait until all the charges beyond that office visit were finalized through BS before they would refund. Claims have been finalized for 1.5 weeks, yet no refund. Looks like I will have to call BS or credit card company to get refund.

this doc is an idiot! arrogant just like the other patients said. if you don't believe it, then why does he have a picture of himself in his office facing the patient? 1st thing i noticed. he did a endoscopy on me, and failed to do properly that left me with internal bleeding. after almost passing out, and panicking with black stool, i went to the hospital and had to have a transfusion. with 2 day stay. doesn't like to hear what you have to say. two doc's at the hospital were overheard saying he's weird, they wouldn't see him there self, nor refer patients to him! end of story! enjoy your time with him. maybe he is ok, but only if he knows you're patient and don't know your own body.

This doctor was very good as far as medicine goes. However, I paid $358.00 up front for a colonoscopy procedure, and after my primary and secondary insurance paid, I was owed my co-pay back. I paid on May 28th and the procedure was on June 20th. It is now December 17th and to date I still have not received my refund. Isn't it interesting how they want your money right away but make you wait for your for 6 months.

The doctor is very arrogant and spent 1/2 the time with me telling me that I should have bypass surgery (I just lost about 30lbs and wasnt even there for that) and the other 1/2 the time telling me how much he "knows". He wanted to order all of these unnecessary tests because he was so sure that he KNEW what my blood work results were going to be. I went for a second opionion yesterday and luckily I did because my blood tests showed NOTHING. I would definitely NOT recommend this doctor! He has no bed side mannor what so ever.

How dare you bad, negative people to write such horrible stuff about Dr. Jay. If you were honest & took the time to listen to him & do as he asks, u would have had a better experience w/ him. I have been a patient for over 5 years. His staff is wonderful. Never an issue. He is not arrogant. he is a straight shooter that gives you the facts. If you need to be coddled or r just looking for a quick drug fix cuz u r spoiled orange countians, It'syour problem. I HAVE NO REASON TO WRITE THIS TO OTHER THAN HE IS THE BEST G.I. doctor in O.C...and for you kind people, thanks for standing up for a man who has a wonderful practice & treats all of us the same. God bless him.

Arrogant doctor who does not listen to patient. Only concerned about his own being. Would not recommend to anyone.

This guys is very knowledgable, My wife struggled with a parasite that she picked up on a cruise, for over 8 weeks went to three other doctors and they couldn't figure it out, He asked her if she had been out of the country and in 5 min.s figured out what the parasite just by talking to her. It was confirmed later with tests that he was right. I also sent my Father to him, he was sitting in the waiting room with no appointment. Dr. Diliberto walked by him and said to his Nurse call an ambulance this guy is in Congestive heart failure, Another 20 min.s he would have been dead. Bed side mannor might not be the best, but he knows his business like no other.
