I met with Dr. Neumann to refill a prescription from a different Dr. he was covering for. The prescription was for chronic opioid therapy for well documented chronic pain. He was 45 minutes late, but made up for it by lecturing me 30 minutes about the dangers of opioids. Never asked a single question or performed an examination. Quite opinionated. Avoid if possible.

I have been with Dr Nuemann as he assumed the practice from Dr Van Veen, with our initial consultation, he went back through old records, found trends that alerted him to a very serious Dx. He will go the extra mile for his patient, he is greatly appreciated!

His intuition is wonderful and he has saved my life by getting an extra test that showed a real Thyroid problem. Thanks to Dr. Neumann and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Neumann is helpful and thorough. He definitely has areas he is better able to treat than others. He was terrific with chronic pain, alternative treatment and very thorough. He was dangerously poor with depression. I still use him, but recognize when I need to do something other than he recommends. His staff is helpful, prescriptions, refills, referrals, etc all done quickly and pleasantly. Love the printout summary of all visits. Wonderful with my son.

He is very thorough with his exams and asking questions to help determine a diagnosis. At times I may have had to wait a little past appt time, but, I get the time for me that is needed. Staff is very helpful when I call o have a question. Does not recommend drugs because a manufacture says so and does not take samples from drug companies. Might be good or bad because samples are free to patients, but, again he is not giving out because a nonmed professional says they are the correct drug for the diagnosis. Gives complete record of appt and what is discussed. I have been with him since he opened his practice in Stayton and have been very pleased with his knowledge and professionalism.

He is helpful, knowledgeable and willing to try options and to refer to specialists and alternative medicine. My only complaint is he rushes thru the appt. Maybe staff overbooks him? But he needs to be sure he hears his patients.

This MD had no knowledge of appropriate tx of asthma. No maintence drug started and when asked told to only give allergy med when symptoms begun which is too late for an asthmatic.
