Been going to Dr. Grubb for 43 years He is like a brother to me. Always explains everything in detail. Spends all the time I need with him to answer my questions. My husband has seen him for 30 years plus. He actually saw him yesterday, March 19, 2018 and Dr. Grubb informed us he is retiring in June. We are losing a great doctor. We and CAMC will miss him greatly.

I love Dr Grubb. I've been going to him since I was 12 and I am now 27.....I've been diabetic since I was 9 and he got my bloodsugar better controlled then the dr I was seeing b4.....he has worked with me and got me on the insulin pump which has got my sugars in even better control. Everytime I go for an appointment he is always smiling and making jokes with me. There has been times I haven't done things as a diabetic should which I would tell him and he would get on to me just like my parents would........but I wouldn't change to another dr for anything.......I never looked forward to going to the other diabetic dr I went to before him......but with Dr Grubb I look ford to going.

I was born with congenital hypothroidism. I went to Dr Grubb for 24 years. In the last years, I'd go once a year for check ups that lasted all of about 10 minutes. Since I was born with thyroid issues, I can usually tell when my doseage needs changed. He goes strictly by blood test results and doesn't care about any symptoms you're having. He makes excuses for everything and gets rude when you question it. He complained about my weight on every visit although I tried everything to try to lose weight and ate healthy (even took him a food journal) but yet he still made excuses and made me feel like an idiot! I was on the same doseage of synthroid for 7 years (knowing I needed changed) and finally after my last appointment with him ending in tears, I found my current doctor and was referred to her from my G.P.D... she not only goes by blood results but symptoms, as any endocrinologist should! He has a very poor personality and I'm so glad I got away from him!

Dr. Grubb is an excellent doctor. He is knowledgeable about diseases and medications. I find him to be quite personable. His "bedside manner" is great. He is willing to spend as much time with me as needed and answers questions to my satisfaction. He explains everything in a way that I easily understand. He has told me how certain medications interact with each other. No doctor has ever told me this before. I feel that he is actually the best doctor that I am currently seeing.

My wife has had Dr. Grubb for her thyroid troubles for years. This guy has some really bad bedside manners. He comes off as very conceted and his attidute is horrible. The thyroid gland is very important and can affect many functions of the body. This means that it's mandatory a doctor ask how a patient is doing and whats going on as far as the patients body. This leaves DR. Grubb out. He does'nt mind using his patients as guinea pigs with unproven medicines as well.

This man is more concerned about his own intellectual superiority to the patient than actual ministration of medical care. I brought the requisite list of medications to my appointment and he corrected my spelling errors. He does not use the latest technology to keep track of blood sugars, I had to manually put them on a piece of paper for him rather than his office having the ability to down load the data. Arrogant, condescending!! Impressed with himself.
