I have seen Dr. Galbraith for over 20 years now. She delivered our last child 20 years ago. I have to say that over the years she has gotten worse at her timing. Now I phone ahead and ask the staff how far she is behind because I can't sit there for too long. One time it was almost 2 hours and I thought I was forgotten! I was close to leaving and re-booking. My time is valuable too. The one thing that really bothers me is that since computers are now in each of the rooms, she immediately goes to the computer and starts typing and looking up visits etc. I find that very disrespectful of a doctor to not even look at you and go straight to the computer. And if you have a condition where she has to get up and do something, it seems like it's a bother to her. Right after examination, she goes back to the computer screen and starts typing and looking at the screen. I think she is knowledgeable, but she needs to look at her patients, we are after all, human beings first (not robots or computer screens). Overall, I get the impression is she is bored with being a GP and wants to do something else! I would look elsewhere, but GP's are in short supply these days.

Dr. Galbraith has only been my doctor for about a year now, in this time I have seen her multiple occasions for various different things. In this short amount of time it has been easy to see how awful she is with treating patients. Every time I have gone in I have had to wait at least 45 minutes sometimes more and when she finally gets to me she has no idea who I am she has to look at my chart to see my name and then I have to remind her what happened last time I was in and what she had prescribed me. Dr. Galbraith seems more concerned that she just get onto the next person instead of actually listening to what you are telling her, she completely disregards your symptoms and just gives you the easiest answer she can think of which for me is usually to drink more water. The last time I went in I booked a longer appointment (30 minutes) because I had quite a list of things I was very concerned about. After I told her my first concern she then kept repeating the same thing over and over again and generally was wasting time. I got through 2 more of my concerns which was only about half the things I wanted to talk to her about and had gotten no answers to how I was going to get help or medication to resolve the pain or why it was happening when she says that that is all the time we have today (it has been 15 minutes) I told her I thought we had 30 minutes and she told me it was her job to spend her time appropriately where she saw fit. She then told me to book another appointment and come back another time. Dr. Galbraith is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever experienced .

Good luck. More concerned about preventing you for going to a specialist to "protect' the system. If you need drugs, she will prescribe but no time for listening or to give helpful advice. Perhaps she treats some people better based on other posts. She seems more concerned about her income than to find the cause of your health problems. After all the average time allowed is usually less than 3 minutes at least for me.

As evil as they come. Manipulative, arrogant and doesn't care about her patients and their needs. After she killed my grandmother and three away the evidence, which I witnessed, she then decided to go one better by also being responsible for the death of my mother. This woman should not be allowed to practise medicine.

I recently started seeing Dr Galbraith and appreciate her forthright and professional manner. I especially like that she explains what she is doing during the exam so that i understand what is going on. She listens and explains in a way that I understand and she is ver non- judgemental. Yes I have had long waits but I know when it is my turn I will have her full attention without feeling I am being rushed. She is definitely one of the best doctors I have ever had. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr Galbraith is my family doctor. She has misdiagnosed my mum for years without forwarding to a specialist until it was too late. When I was bit by a deer tick and had a red bullseye rash and wanted a lymes disease test, she refused for awhile, telling me that it was people like me that drained the system. Even if you try to book your appts for after their lunch, at 1pm, (when they're supposed to return), often Dr Galbraith doesn't wander in until 1:30. She is full of herself, doesn't treat well. Once she gave me antibiotics that made my condition worse. When Dr Hartford saw me, she exclaimed that it should never have happened-- and told me we had to slice me open right away. Do not trust Dr Galbraith with anything past strep throat.

She has been my Dr since I was a child. She has misdiagnosed me, is always late, sits on test results and talks to me as though I am another dr and understand medical terms. I usually wait at least 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to get in, and that’s when I get into see her, I usually see her fill in Dr. Hartford because she is never there or can’t fit me in. I went in for a physical and the receptionist had me disrobe and wait. I waited 45 minutes on the cold table half naked for her to arrive and in that time a receptionist came in and interrupted me to grab a tube of lipstick of the desk! I found out I was pregnant and she told me nothing about prenatal care and even doubted my pregnancy because she couldn’t see the results clearly, I had to ask her about maternity drs to which she scribbled down names on a scrap piece of paper for me to call. And to boot, she actually asked me who my family Dr was! If I could find a Dr in Victoria, I would hands down drop her.

I have had Dr. Galbriath for my adolesences adn tenneage yrs, and have now moved to, Victoria for my twenties. I have found it so ahrd to get an appointment and have become accostomed to seeing her fill in, Dr. Heartford-I now do not ask to see Dr. Galbriath, in opting for Hartford, who is on time, very sincere and thorough in her diagnosis and I always get to ask whatever questions I may have, even if I feel that the list is long of concerns, I know she does not mind.

I have been seeing Dr Galbraith for over 20 years now and I can't imagine seeing anyone else. She is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever seen. Yes punctuality is an issue as others have pointed out, but it is only because she takes such care with all her patients. I don't mind waiting to see her because I know she will take the same care with me. I have never met another doctor who gives so much of themselves to what they do as she does. I consider her a close adviser and a friend I can trust when ailment strikes.
