Found Dr. Englander to be extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Her appointments are 90 mins instead of 15. She goes over everything, including nutrition. Was bringing my daughter who has autism for DAN protocol, but when I was diagnosed with brain tumors, I paid out-of-pocket to get her advice. Would definitely recommend to others.

Dr. Englender listens, is thoughtful, and keeps up with the research. She's dry, funny, and a perfectionist. Her office is professional, warm, personal, and thorough. She is everything a physician should be. She considers the whole person. I am grateful for her and so glad to have her as out health care provider. See her with confidence.

These prior review regarding her mood and behavior are true, however, once you get to know her, you will love her. I have been seeing her for 2 and a half years and she has been a miracle worker. I have been seeing naturopathic doctors for over 10 years she by far the most knowledgeable, helpful, thorough doctor I have ever been to. She has cured my food allergies I suffered from for 5 years and help me regain my energy. It is true that at first she was very rude and abrasive to me, but after my first visit, she softened up and I realized that her abrasiveness was just awkward humor. I have recommended her to everyone who has hard-to-figure-out problems. She will figure out what is wrong with you when no one else can, and educate you on all of your treatment options. Please don't complain about her temperament until you have had the chance to get to know her. Her knowledge and helpfulness will far outweigh any awkward fist encounters. Just laugh at her jokes and you will be fine. :)

I thought I could deal with her as I am a pediatric nurse. I read these reviews before I went and I was told "just don't interrupt her". She has some sort of chip on her shoulder. She has this strange power dynamic over her front staff which was almost tangible. She told me I had OCD b/c I was taking notes of what she was saying. She said that twice. I really got the sense she was going to find something to be annoyed with - either myself or my very well behaved child. I just focused on the information. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I saw her twice. Am now going to another DAN doctor in the area. The number of rude and disrespectful comments she said were almost comical. Oh - and she lied to me about when lab test results were in- after I had to call and f/u on them 3x. I know b/c I called the lab first myself. Even berated me for calling multiple times for results. Makes me wonder what else she was fudging.

Her moods can fluctuate from happy (on rare occasion) to blaming & shaming patients in Waiting Room in front of others. In Elevator in prior site, patients were a kind of 'support group' to each other. She can be very hepful, OR very impatient (after SHE has insisted on examining the patient for a long time) and then blaming them in the Waiting Room that 'she'll have no lunch time because of you' in front of all other patients; both inappropraite & embarrassing. Furhter, her impatientce to take the time to report vital lab data data on a patient, has put patient(s) in danger. She can be aloof & seems to feel above the rules of politeness, modesty & that she also can be in error as a 'human being.' She can also be as creative as the legendary 'M. Quinn, MD, on rare occasions. She does unconventional treatments which can be hazardous; and then justifies them. It seems to be 'hit or miss,' & she is inconsistent in moods & follow through. This seems to border on dangerous.

She's tends to run extremely late (1 to 1.5 hours late)and is extremely rude. Her knowledge is not medically current and has made serious, life and health threatening errors. She also stalls for time since she charges by total time spent. Though she is one of the few "holistic" doctors in the area, I cannot recommend her.
