One of the worst people I have ever “spoken” with in my entire life. Bowel cancer has been running in my family for years, and i’ve had my fair share of issues since I was a child. My family doctor referred me to ‘Dr’ Fashir, when he phoned our conversation lasted a total of 2 minutes, he didn’t let me get a single word out to defend my case, which I shouldn’t have to do regardless. He was extremely dismissive, hostile, rude, and continued to tell me that i’m “too young” to get cancer and that he’s not doing a simple scope to confirm.I have heard ample loads of horror stories regarding him aswell. I hate to bash the remaining doctors left in Cape Breton, but his medical license should have been revoked a loooong time ago.

I had the light put down by Dr Fashir, but alot of people says he has great bedside manners. He never spoke 3 words to me, now I have to have a Colonoscopy which I had by Dr Fashir before, my God, he's very rough, at least he was with me, they give u something to relax you, but he doesn't give the medication time to work, when it did start to work, I was done with the Colonoscopy, my God, don't he realize people do have feeling? Very rough Dr 😕 and won't speak 2 words to you, it's the nurse who try to explain things to you, not him, like he's always in a rush...definitely no need of that, after all, I do have feelings as well as the next person....taker easy Dr Fashir, after all, we are humans and do have feelings

Dr. Baroudi Fashir's response
Usually, I concentrate on my procedure and the nurses do most of the talking to the patient if required
If the patients needed more sedation we usually give them.

Dr. Fashir did a gastroscopic on me 3 times and a colonoscopy on me twice over the past 15 years. He is excellent. He has a great bedside manner, very knowledgeable and asks you all kinds of questions. An all around great doctor.

Dr. Fashir did a colonoscopy on me in which he removed nine polyps, the largest of which he could not remove completely. That one was precancerous and he contacted Dr. Butler, surgeon, to have a colon rebuild done. He was adamant that the surgery was required Asap. Thanks to he and Dr. Butler the surgery was completed Sept. 21st and I am cancer free. I owe these men a great deal. Dr. Fashir was kind, knowledgeable and thorough. Thank you sir.
