Dr. Kooy is a wonderful GP. He is kind, caring and highly knowledgeable. The receptionist Jessica should probably find another profession, condescending and rude, this is not an industry for her personality type.

It is not possible to get another gp once you have been given one by the BC Health Service unless you move from the area.

never get a call back Maybe something should be done about the person who is supposed to be answering the phone but appears inclined not to Get new office staff ... Jack They irritate your patients and they are running out of "patience" Your retirement might end on a very sour note due to the people you have in your office ie that "Jessica" person and her emails

I have been a patient of Dr Kooy since 2000. Everything about his office was excellent, especially when Hannah was there, Jamie was good too.
The new receptionist couldn't be worse, making an appointment is unbelievable.
Things have gone from bad to worse...my 76 year mother in law was in tears trying to make an appointment because now she has to go online to book. So inhuman.
I don't bother to even try to make an appointment for myself. I sent a message one time to Dr. Kooy expressing how difficult it has become to make an appointment and receive a nasty email back from his receptionist...he never even saw my message I am sure.
Dr Kooy has been an excellent doctor and highly rated in our community, but one has to be able to communicate with him to receive the help. The process of communication has become incredibly difficult, sometimes offensive and exasperating. Dr. Kooy himself has never been offensive

Office staff are terrible. They never answer the phone and it is very frustrating. If you have certain phone hours then someone should be there to answer them not get a recording.

Jack has been my doctor since 1996. I cannot thank him enough for all he has done for me and my family over the last 25 years. His secretary is useless and rude. She doesn't answer the phone, I've called 25 times in a day and not a callback or answer. We heard recently that Jamie has moved on to another position and we miss her dearly!

Dr. Kooy has been my doctor for many years. He is knowledgeable, has excellent people/patient communication skills, he is very understanding and is kind.

Dr. Kooy has been our family doctor for about 25 years and has provided excellent service. He, to us, is a trusted doctor that has served all our family members through various and serious medical situations.

Dr. Kooy always has students working under him and when my daughter went in for her first “pap” test, the student put the wrong “gel” in and caused burning. Kooy refused to tell my daughter what the student put inside of her and pretended that all was fine. She is traumatized and does not want to go back again. The phone is never answered (I called 43 times one day). Dog in the office. Neglects patients constantly. Doesn’t take my concerns seriously and says “oh my receptionist has worse pain than you”. Very unprofessional overall, stayed with him for over 6 years and never had one good experience. Found a new doctor.
