Dr. Afshin Bahardor is attentive, responsive with bedside manors.
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis Uterus cancer in July 2022.

Thank goodness my wonderful OBGYN (Dr. Daniele Meshkat) who happens to be a co-worker with Dr. Bahador, she found my cancer and was was able to recommend me to Dr. Asfshin Bahador.
He was able to get me in pretty quickly, and schedule a total Hysterectomy.
Caught the cancer before it spread, however still need chemo due to fast growing.
I truly, trust his opinion and know I am in the best hands in the San Diego area.

Dr Afshin has been through this cancer journey with me every step of the way along with team is who outstanding.
I have always been healthy and did not have any idea where to begin with this new journey.

Fortunately, Dr. Bahador's team stepped in and has educated me step by step along the way.
I adore this team, and really have peace of mind that I will recover 100%.
He also, has a chemo nurse (Melissa) who is dedicated to 4/patients at a time and so much more intimate than a hospital setting. Grateful for her expertise, she is hands on with all the questions.

Dr. Bahardor has very high regard in the medical field makes his patients feel like they are the only patient he has. His positive attitude and heartfelt kindness is so special that you cannot help but have no fear and adore seeing him.

Highly recommend this team for anyone who may have too go through this journey you will be very comfortable.

The worst doctor and office staff I have ever experienced. Find another doctor! There are so many better doctors out ther. Please do your research. Not only is he so very condescending and disrespectful to his patients, he over bills for an office visit (chargered my insurance $2200.00!!! For a consultation visit). There seems like insurance fraud going on to. Ladies please find another doctor and practice! You’re going through a very sensitive time in your life if you need to go to this type of doctor. Please please find another doctor and practice!

Dr B. was an excellent choice for my surgery, which ended up being somewhat complicated. He was confident and compassionate, and I'm 24 days post surgery and feeling great :) Thank you Dr. B

Dr. Bahador is hands down one of those friendliest and competent doctors I have been to. He puts you at ease from the moment you walk in, and it's clear he has your best interest at heart. I will be having a robotic hysterectomy this year from him, and couldn't feel more at peace about it. His office staff is atrocious. After calling for three weeks, we put in a complaint and finally got a call back. Margie was incredibly passive and rude to me when I discussed my condition with her- replying "at least it's not cancer" discounting all of the pain and suffering I've gone through. If he wasn't such an amazing doctor, I would probably never return because of the staff.

I feel mixed writing this because Dr. B is truly excellent: kind, compassionate, articulate and skilled. Everything you could want. But he needs an all new staff! First, it took 2 weeks to get an appt because the new appt person would not return my call despite several msgs. Why are they not sensitive to the fact that women just referred to an oncologist are feeling some urgency? After 1st appt, med asst said she'd call in test dr requested but never did so w/out more badgering. Thank goodness I copied my primary care doc on test results because they never called me or mailed results. When tests were normal (base don pcare doc email), I called to ask if I needed to keep the next appt. They said yes. When I arrived, he did not have the results (I had to wait 15 min while they tried to find them). Then he wondered why I came if everything was normal. I have full confidence he's an excellent oncologist. But clinical skill is only as good as the team that supports it with sensitivity and good communication.

Dr. Bahador is a terrific doctor. I had a complete hysterectomy on April 8th 2014. Pain meds were given in the hospital and I had a 6 day stay was suppose to be 7 but was well enough to leave a tad early. No pain meds after I got home were needed. I give his office staff a very low score due to the fact that nobody returns important phone call post op. I have ovarian cancer stage 1c and need chemo so return calls are a must. I am sure the staff is very busy and over worked but I find leaving messages upon messages that go unanswered unacceptable in this age. I could run the office much better being on chemo then how it is run by healthy women. I do love this Dr. as he did such a wonderful job treating me so if you need to be seen by one of the best just try and push through the office staff so you have the best care.

Never had the chance to meet with this Dr as I was never given an appt by his front office staff. It's been over a month since first contact. She was pleasant during initial contact but all contact after that was rude and 'too busy' attitude. Odd to have someone like this running a busy oncologist office, where the patients are stressed and need a little more TLC. I have chosen another surgeon for this very reason. This Dr came recommended by another well known surgeon in the La Jolla area

I love this Dr!!! Dr Bahador is caring and compassionate. He spent a lot of time with me and patiently answered my many many questions. Others say he is great...well he has a wonderful bedside manner too! I gave the office staff a 4 only because Margie saved them. Margi is the best!!! She is always smiling and ready to help. The rest of the front office seems busy and not nearly as caring.
