The word around town is that Dr. Bush is the best OBGYN and in my opinion it's true! I have never met with such a knowledgable doctor. I wouldn't want anyone else as my doctor especially for any surgeries which is what he is known for. His office staff seemed nice too and they were pretty accommodating.

Dr. bush did a good job with the sergery. I'm just not happy at all with how he handled letting my family know my condition. My boyfriend waited for several hours and heard nothing of how I was doing. My be time for him to hang it up. I'm just glad everything did go well. Would recommend him if the individual that accompanys you doesn't care of your status. He is good at what he does tho.

One of the best most caring and compassionate doctors I have encountered. Not sure what is up the the review below sounds like someone does not understand what happened to them, sad story. But I have never heard any patient that sees him share anything but glowing comments. I also like that he is head of the wvu charleston department I think it shows that he is up to date on new information. I would highly recommend that you see him. I have taken my daughter to see him as well and she feels the same way.

I am not sure what planet the last comment came from, but I have nothing but praises for Dr. Bush and his staff, particularly Shelly. We had a wonderful experience with our recently delivered son. I had diabetes and hypertension and they made me feel comfortable and reassured with all the testing they did on the baby.

he is a TERRIBLE doctor. I was pregnant last year and went to see him. the entire time i went there I NEVER seen dr bush, always shelly!!! i was having some foul smelling disharge and they kept saying they couldnt find anything! well if they would have checked my urine they would have known that i had infection in my aminoic sac. well i delievered preterm at 21.5 weeks. he had me on magnesium sulfate for 28 hours not to mention this was the first time i even met this quack. well needless to say in 2 days i was only dialted .5 cm and with the mag sulfate my contactions were very little.he decided upon his own discretion without my permission to give pitossin well than out came the baby that he forced to come in a unviable state. well he tested the placenta and all and came back and said that my tests were normal! haha well i got pregnant again. switched drs( which he is amazing!!!!!!) and he got my med records. well dr bush had very limited records with NO info. i got the records from

Great, warm, friendly, caring and compassionate. He spent time with me explaining my diagnosis, treatment options and answered my questions thoroughly. His staff is amazing and even called me the day after my surgery to check to see how I was doing. You couldn't ask for a better doctor or office staff!!!

Dr. Bush is one of the rudest doctors I have ever met. I regret everyday of my life ever being seen there at the hospital.

His office has a great nurse pract. but at the first sign of trouble he took over care completely. He is very thoughtful and straight forward. I am eternally thankful he was my OB for my first child.

I find his practice average, at best. I walked out of his office with an infection. I was told the culture was negative...no wet prep, no Ph test. (???) I made an appt. the following week with another gyn, he found the infection immediately. I found Dr. Bush more helpful years ago, last time I saw him, he was rushed and I didn't feel like he really listened to my complaints. I've moved on...

I have found the new staff (since Bush went solo) to be lacking in relational skills and helpfulness, more than once (especially after I backed out of a hysterectomy). Also, I had always believed that Dr. Bush was one of the most knowlegeable doctors I have been to, and though he was certainly helpful in the past, I do not feel that way as of my last few appts. I have developed a painful condition and he was willing to perform surgery, but did not offer to refer me out first, or offer any help other than surgery. I backed out of the surgery and have since learned, from leaving the state and seeing other MD's, that if I would have had the surgery, I may have done more harm to myself. I have decided to find another doctor. Overall, his Obstetric Skills are very good. However, in the gynecological department, I have found him lacking.
