Been going to this clinic for years, and everyone including Dr. Barker has been fantastic! He’s great at making you feel comfortable, and is very friendly and chatty. Also great with giving relatively painless needles which is a big plus.

Truly awful. He can take you on a real rollercoaster of friendliness and unfriendliness and it often ends in disaster. Last time, he appeared to be annoyed before he even came into the room, and then got irritated with me over excess saliva in my mouth. Dealing with unkind receptionists and hygienists (some of them are quite nice, but a few are very much not) at his office, and then having to deal with him as the final "boss" of this nightmare game is just too exhausting. Really not the kind of experience you want at your dentist's office.

I have been going to Dr.Barker for years and I used to find him always nice and friendly with you but the past two time’s I’ve been there lately he has rushed my appointment and is very snappy and impatient .. I don’t recommend him

Can not do a proper root canal and crown. I have been back to his office 30-40 times from my teeth cracking or falling out due to a poor job of a crown.

Great dental work and very personable. Dr. Barker genuinely cares for his patients. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist who will put them at ease and do a great job too! He also does a lot of after hours shifts which shows his commitment to his patients and other patients of the clinic. He has helped me more than once with emergency/ after hours dental care. Clearly a dentist with a lot of heart!

Today was my first trip to First Street Dental to see Dr. Barker. I havent had any dental coverage for a few years and I have had some nightmare dentists when living in Nova Scotia so I was very nervous about going to the dentist, especially knowing I would need two wisdom teeth pulled. The reception was great, the assistant was great and Dr. Barker was the most friendly denstist I have ever met. I had xrays and a checkup and will be going back to him to have the wisdom teeth out. as of right now I am not nervous about that because my visit today was so pleasant. Glad I did my research and read these other reviews beforing choosing a dentist:)

Dr Barker is great. Who likes going to a dentist but he makes it very enjoyable. I had several procedures done and was never in discomfort. Great job and thank you sir.

Dr. Barker was my dentist a few years back and had recently returned for a checkup and was informed that i would have to get dentures. Not impressed with his diagnosis and attitude I went elsewhere for a second opinion. Not only was dr barker rude, he was wrong. I just needed 2 root canals and 3 teeth pulled!!! Will never go back to Dr. Barker again!!!
