Bourgeois misdiagnosed my mother in law. She had stage four stomach cancer, and instead of listening to her, Bourgeois dismissed it as a bad back, and encouraged her to see a chiropractor.

Always told me to not to worry about my son's health problems and that they were nothing.(That it was his food intake) As well told me that it was because I was a first time mother and that I was over acting. I found help out of town at Tisdale Medical Clinic, and seeked help from my father's doctor. Pretty bad that I had to leave Humboldt to find answers!

Friendly, easy to talk too but perhaps inexperienced and rushed as I was misdiagnosed which will likely cause me my life. Dismissed all my symptoms as normal; whem in fact I had cancer. A resident I saw after her took the time to examine me and listen to me and referred me for diagnostic testing which eventually led to my diagnosis.

She was wonderful when dealing with my sick newborn, even calling on a Sunday and evenings to make sure he was alright and to give me test results.

I have found Dr. Bourgeois to be very abrupt. She does not listen to patient concerns and jumps too quickly to a conclusion. I have been misdiagnosed by this doctor on more than one occaision. I am sure she is knowledgable but she is far too impulsive in her diagnosis and her bedside manner and listening skills need to improve significantly.
