Hanover Vaccine Clinic- While my overall experience with the “hub” was not pleasant this doctor is one of the best I’ve met. Where everyone else was cold, indifferent or downright rude at this clinic, Dr. Stretch was friendly and personable. I wasn’t looking forward to a covid shot and were it not for his compassionate manner I likely would’ve left unvaccinated.

The town of Hanover had been so blessed with this amazing Doctor. He was very professional yet so warm and sincere...an old-school doctor with great bedside manners who truly LISTENS to his patient's needs, acknowledge and believe the pain they are experiencing and this is the only Doctor in town who actually DO SOMETHING about it! He will call all TESTS necessary and even consider your suggestions as well and request it for you if you wish, he will give you the benefit of the doubt and easily refer you to specialists if you have high concern about your body. He will NOT delays things or leave your condition to a "wait-see" because he will not let you suffer for weeks or months under his care. His knowledge and years of experience and dedication to his profession is superior yet he is NOT ARROGANT at all and does not take matters just by himself...again he will refer you to specialists whether HE thinks it is warranted or if YOU yourself as the patient is really concerned about certain health condition and he won't hesitate to refer you to the experts. Every time we see him for our appointments, each member of the family is excited to see him and talk to him as if he is a counsellor! He is so engaging, jovial and kind that at times we forget that we are feeling very sick at that moment! He is such a treasure in the Hanover Hospital...he set the bar so high that we can not see any other doctors in the area that can match the quality of his healthcare service. He never even charged for medical certificates or any referrals...which clearly shows this doctor is a gem who truly CARES for his patients and NOT JUST ABOUT DOLLARS AND CENTS! We are truly sad that he retired (though we should be happy for him because he definitely deserves it) and wish he could still visit the hospital or clinic once in a while if he is able. Dr. Neal Stretch is a golden role model for others. Wish we can tell him how much we love him and truly miss him!

Delivered me and my two younger siblings in 1993, 1996 and 1999, and my Mom said he was the best doctor she could have possibly had. All our checkups, like booster shots and other needles, as well as any other appointments we made with him always went well. Even as a little kid and being as terrified of needles as I was, he was always great, made me laugh and feel comfortable with him. I always loved getting to go see him, which is unusual considering it usually meant needles. He's an amazing Doctor that goes above and beyond by lending his skills in 3rd world countries as well. I can't say enough good things about him.

I had one the worst most uncaring experiences of my life with this person back in 1993/4 . I somehow believe his huge insensitive ego would even enjoy this comment, because it features him.

Dr. Stretch has been my doctor for over ten years now. He delivered my son and took my husband as a patient when he wanted to change. Not only is he fantastic in the care he provides generally, but he's been super supportive during my husband's mental health issues for the last couple of years. I'm sorry to see him in semi-retirement from practice, but he spends several months a year working in third world countries to provide much needed health care and I greatly admire his dedication to that. He is always calm and takes the time you need to discuss your health care. He works to stay up-to-date and current and is quick to respond with referrals. Thanks Dr. Stretch! :-)

Dr. Stretch delivered my first two children. Absolutely the best bedside manner (anyone who can make a labouring woman laugh is amazing), kind and down to earth. Though often the wait to see him in office can be long, he's worth it. With the premature delivery of my daughter he examined me and traveled alongside me in the ambulance to the destination hospital and waited to ensure I was well taken care of. This is no ordinary Dr. His outreach to those in 3rd world countries shows what sort of character this man has. Truly a blessing to have! The staff are also polite and very helpful. His nurse is fantastic and very helpful. Great team!
