heard lots of positive comment about Dr. Irinakis, i have been waiting to see him for 6 month, was scheduled to see him last month, however when I was ready to see him that day, the clinic said i missed appointment time, the appointment time clinic gave to me was 2:45, however clinic insists it was 12:45, now i have to wait for another 4.5 month to see Dr. Irinaskis, i was crying as.i have been waiting for 6 months, when the clinic told me, i just want Dr. Irinakis to do quick check see if i do need a surgery or not, i have seen another Dr, however he did not win my trust. now i am crying and wishing Dr. Irinaskis could see my post and let me see him earlier.

I'll tell you a story to show the quality of character that Dr. Irinakis posesses. I'm waiting in my chair to have surgery. I can see that Dr. Irinakis passing by the chair to go to his office. I am informed that he will be a little late. 20min go by and I start getting antsy when he finally shows up. He immediately apologizes for the delay and explains that there was a patient emergency that had to be taken care of, to which I replied that I appreciate that he prioritizes such emeregencies as I would also want to be addressed in an expedited manner if I had an emergency. After my operatoin (which went extremely smoothly and as always, his skills are exceptional), I actually found out what exactly happened and he was late to my appointment, since it turns out the patient he was referring to is a good friend of mine and she called me herself. She went to see him for a consultation and he took a CT scan and then examined her. He was very concerned with the findings on his xrays and felt she should be seen immediately by a different specialist. He did not charge her for the visit or the scan and provided her with a copy. He then went to his office -while my turn eventually came up for my appointment- and started organizing everyone involved to ensure she was seen immediately. He was on the phone and on his email for all the time I was waiting and finally managed to get her to see a medical specialist the very next morning. He didn't push this on his staff or have others assist her. This is the person I wish to take care of me. Someone who will go to bat for the persons under his care. Thank you Dr. Irinakis for always putting your patient first! The Valley appreciates you.

Now who says going to the doctor cannot be an incredible experience?
My views on life -apparently- can be changed and this doctor has done just that for me and my spouse. I've known Dr. Irinakis for a few years now through my visits with my husband and more recently for my own implants. Absolutely every appointment ends with a huge smile on my face. His energy is contagious and his singing throughout our appointments takes care of my anxiety. I don't know whot taught him how to freeze his clients but I have never felt a needle from Tasso. People viewing my comments probably wish to learn more about the outcome of our implant visits with Tasso and we could not be more satisfied. To imagine that we have someone of his calibre in the comox valley ....., right? My husband got rid of his upper plastic ugly plate and his diet has improved, along with his attitude! My problem was more subtle. Just a single tooth problem but right there for everyone to see when my gummy smile perks up. When you look at me, you would have no idea that one of my front teeth is not a real one.
To finish my note though I must comment on the quality of care I received from his office alltogether. The ladies at the entrance and on the phone are friendly and tolerate all my jokes. The nurses in the back are truly kind and understanding. The kind of service those young ladies offer is almost like going to a spa with what those heated towels after my surgeries and those lovely drugs! Thank you all and I am sure you will be seeing us again soon. S

Today, Nov. 15th, 2022 from 8am to 9pm I met with Dr. IRINAKIS to go over the options available to me. Dr. IRINAKIS spent more than enough time with me in explaining my options and all of my concerns. Incredibly patient and professional. I asked lots of questions and he answered every single one. Amazing and thorough communicator. Dr. IRINAKIS thank you for taking the time in explaining the options to me.

After seeing two other specialists in Vancouver, I just couldn't shake the feeling that I was not getting the genuine attention I felt I deserved. My boss at work, mentioned Dr. Tasso Irinakis to me and I booked an appointment. Had to wait a few months but it was totally worth it. Dr. Irinakis and his staff were courteous and funny; a great stress relieving attitude, which I appreciated. No one rushed me. They were understanding of my small delay due to parking issues. I would call myself a nervous dentistry client and Dr. Irinakis eliminated all that in the first 5 minutes of our interaction. It is so hard not to like this guy and feel at ease. I have not started my surgeries yet but I feel confident that he will restore my ability to chew comfortably again with some new implants.
Can't wait !!!

A fantastic periodontist. I've had two quite difficult gum graphs done by Tassos and both times had first class service and an excellent experience. Super ethical. I wouldn't go to anyone else for graphs or implants.

OMG! What an incredible experience.
My husband and I went to see Dr. Irinakis for an implant examination. We were pretty distraught prior to the meeting as we were told that he is looking toward losing his teeth in his 50s!!
Tasso -as he introduces himself- listened carefuly to us and my husband's concerns and we spent a good hour to hour and a half discussing his situation and answering questions. I have yet to see a doctor so thorough in his responses and so committed to ensuring no question was left unanswered. Would I ever go to another periodontist? Not if I can get access to Tasso; that's a given!
The best thing that came out of this meeting is that Dr. irinakis feels he can actually save my husband's teeth and postpone any implant surgeries for at least a decade. And with attention to detail by us and careful monitoring perhaps a lot longer. We were thrilled. It's like the light entered again in our lives, considering the expected outcome of losing all teeth!
Most impressive of all, Tasso didn't feel he needed to push any treatment on us. He assured us that with our active participation in his presented plan, we had time to first thing about things and then eventually commit and receive great results.
As an additional note by the way, his office staff was AMAZING. Super friendly, considerate, professional and just a happy bunch. A.K.

Dr. Irinakis is the only periodontist I will see! He is absolutely fantastic in his field and a genuine, kind person. I am very grateful to have been referred to him 14 years ago. I have a complicated dental history and have seen a variety of specialists and dentists over the years. I will always drive from the Fraser Valley to Vancouver to see him to have any and all periodontal work done.

He has done a number of gum grafting surgeries, and dentists & dental hygienists always comment on how you cannot see/tell I have had it done. I have also had a complicated implant done by him successfully. I have always appreciated the time he takes to explain options and what the procedure will look like. I never feel rushed or brushed off by any of his team. He remembers his patients and genuinely cares. I also trust his recommendations as I was told by another dentist bone grafting was needed (it may be down the road), but he tried less invasive ways to solve the problem first and I was so grateful.

When we discovered my daughter had inherited some of my dental complexities I sent a dental scan to him asking advice about how to proceed knowing implants are in her future. He responded immediately and even took the time to reach out to other specialists confirming our orthodontists recommendations. I was incredibly grateful.

I have yet another grafting procedure to have done (due to my recession) and am seeing him in a few weeks and although I don't look forward to these procedures. I am far more calm and at ease knowing he is the doctor performing it and trust in his expertise.

I recently saw Dr.Irinakis for a gum and bone graft procedure, and had a wonderful experience. I previously had an implant for front tooth done 11 years ago by a different dentist, which failed, and was referred to Dr.Irinakis for his expertise. I was told by my dentist that my particular situation was one that should be treated by an expert in the field, as the chance for a good esthetic outcome may be very low.

Dr.Irinakis was very thorough and professional in providing me with options and possible outcomes for my situation. I have very sensitive gum tissue, and he listened and paid very close attention to modify and customize the procedure to my needs. I am very happy with the care, communication, outcome. I feel that Dr Irinakis has exemplary skills!
He has an amazing freezing technique. Even with this extensive surgery, I did not feel any discomfort.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to find a periodontist who is caring and communicative, and an expert in his field.
