great doctor. Does not seem to get worked up and is professional.

Awful bedside manners. I have never met a doctor in my life as rude and careless. Didn't even give the time of day. Talking medical term in front of patient with another doctor like the patient wasn't even in the room. Belittling the patient by almost implying she's imaging up her symptoms. Questioning tests other doctors have ordered..never even touched the patient the patient during exam.

He diagnosed my Microscopic colitis on the first visit which was confirmed on a colonoscopy and biopsy. The other two GI's had missed it as they had neglected to take biopsies even though my colon looked normal on their exam. I suffered from diarrhea for 2 years and was cured in 7 days ! Clearly a superior clinician. Very helpful office

Based on colonoscopy, Uppal said I had 1 of 3 things and treated me for the most likely. Turned out, I didn't have any of the 3. Two yrs later, another GI doc correctly diagnosed my problem and said it was obvious, as did a 3rd doc. I had Uppal's staff send me my records and then learned that the correct diagnosis had been reported to him in the biopsy analyses, which it seems he never looked at, even though I saw him in follow-up visits. Punctuality usually wasn't a problem, but one time I sat by myself in the waiting room for an hour and, when they finally let me into an exam room, I could hear Uppal and his colleague on the phone with their stockbroker!

Competent and compassionate physician, more helpful and professional than most others I have seen for my chronic illnesses. Really helpful office staff too. Recommend him very highly.

Dr Uppal has a great bedside manner and is extremely compassionate. His practice is run very professionally. Would recommend him and his practice to all friends and relatives.

Misdiagnosed me with the common GERD just because I told him my Mom had it. 8 painful years later I decided I needed more answers and found another doctor. After a few short tests, I was properly diagnosed with Gastroparysis and I feel better than ever before and with no meds needed!

The worst GI spec. I have seen yet and I have been to A LOT. If it wasn't for his lack of compassion and listening skills I probably would have been diagnosed with my condition about 7 years earlier and about 6 specialists sooner than I was. He didn't take the time to listen or believe a word my Mom or I said when I was a kid and now I'm paying with long-term consequenses. Because he couldn't figure it out right away, he assumed it was all in my head!

I've been going to Dr. Uppal for 17yrs. He is by far the BEST GI doctor I have been too. I highly recommend Dr. Uppal.
